It's an establishment mouthpiece, I'll give you that. But it's more like an arm of the civil service than a partisan channel for any particular political party.

MI5 and 6 have been using BBC to plant stories for decades
BBC will only go to the most fringe doom loonies when it comes to climate change (I have no issue with the non fringe loonies getting their say) It has quietly retracted many loony claims, but we near see those
It took sides on Brexit
It hates the working class
and it hires people who have a vested interest in tellng young British kids they should hate their history and their country
Its divisive and dishonest.

and most of its articles are just copied from the guardian and rehashed

I completely disagree

I think Trump made a big mistake in the Presidential Elections and it's a rule of thumb that I often follow in politics, I want to know what you are going to do for the country, I'm not interested in hearing about the opposition, i apply the same rule of thumb to all other parties. I remember Corbyn doing it in the last Election, time and time again he would hold press conferences to try and discredit the Tories in someway. Even Starmer has started doing it, my advice to him would be if you want people to vote for you, tell them what YOU are going to do, I am not interested in what you think the opposition should be doing or should have done, it's always easy to speak ill of another when you are not the leading party. Biden has been very cleaver in his early speaches in stating about bringing the Nation together, regardless of how you voted, a few politicians in this country could certainly do with taking a few tips from him.
Being positive about your own plans seems to play a lot better with neutrals, independents and people who may or may not vote.
You have to motivate people and just not being the other twat doesn't do that.
Discrediting your opposition is best left to the press, if they'd actually do their jobs.

Trump didn't have Hillary to fall back on, so he went with more MAGA, but he's been the President for four years.
Did he build the wall? No. Did he Lock Her Up? No. Is America much better than it was? Doesn't look like it.
He needed a new schtick and didn't have one.

Starmer's just sitting back at the moment, in my opinion. There's no impending election, so he doesn't need to go after votes.
Let Boris do his thing and let the Tories fight each other, while trying to move away from Corbyn, as he's a toxic brand.
Regardless of what anyone thinks of him, a substantial chunk of the population don't want anything to do with him.

I do give the BBC some credit
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53858940

They did fact check the charlottesville very fine people lie, even if it was only BBC US

a lie that is still being told by Biden (no one bats an eyelid when Biden tells pathological lies, only when peau d'orange does)

It's the London met progressive centric part of the BBC that's the problem

and the organisation is obsessed with transgenderism and sexuality and idenity politics

There are lots of decent folk working there, and it provides many good services across the country

But.. its most prominent people are biased hacks.

It's not a lie. He literally said that there were fine people on both sides.
One side was Nazis, white supremacists, neo-confederates and anti-Semites.
It was a rally for far-right fruitcakes.
Eliminating the Nazis and white nationalists neither makes any sense or leaves anyone fine on that side to talk about.

They are even more obsessed with racism at a time when it's never been more rejected by society than it is today

You don’t even live here ffs, so how can you talk about the current BBC with any credence?

You trying to tell me that Kuenssberg is anything other than an extension of the current Govts PR dept? She literally repeats Cummings WhatsApps verbatim and calls it reporting.

The BBC is bogged down in a quagmire of false ‘balance’ and has been for years. Here’s the former head of the WTO to discuss world trade and for ‘balance’ in the discussion here is a clueless Tory nodding dog MP, who once visited Italy. <doh>
They fell into the rabbit hole during a period where facts were given equivalence with misguided and ill informed opinion. I’m hoping post the demise of Trump who normalised lies in political discourse, that we can an slowly return to the days when the truth and facts matter.

Just reading on Trump.
His love for golf and how he cheats at the game you self count/score.
Would have been poetic if he found out he had lost as he gave himself one of his gimmie chip ins for on 20yards.

The litigation pile builds up

Has 2020 got one more piece of mad **** left in the tank?

Prob not but.. it is a mental year so far so who knows <laugh>

I read that he plays the first round at any new club he owns, on his own, so he can claim he is / was club champion!

just on a bit where he was in a team event. They didn’t win, but he demanded a trophy for lowest net score. So someone got a vase out of toilets to present to him.

and he had the nuclear launch codes.

Hilary got more of the popular vote than Trump in 2016 ... so that kind of comparison means diddly squat... it was a record turn-out and he still lost... and to Sleepy Joe... if the Dems had put forward a candidate of the same age and charisma as Obama in his pomp, the margin of victory would have been considerably bigger ... <cheers>
So in a roundabout way does this mean that Trump was thought less of a danger to his country than Corbyn who got well and truly thumped, by Boris? <whistle>
