the fact there were protests against Trump in the UK by remainer brigades, shows the left I once belonged to has lost its ****ing mind <laugh>

I don’t like him, not at all, which is why I spend hours and hours defending him and even swallowing the major electoral fraud BS, but I’m not bothered in the slightest that he’s gone. Oh and anyone who doesn’t like him, has some sort of cerebral issue, not that I’m defending him or anything, oh and he did loads of great stuff, not that I’m defending him or anything, oh and his opponents are all quite ridiculous, not that I’m defending him or anything. Oh and Republicans are in great shape whereas the winners are a mess, not that I’m a supporter of them or anything.

Indeed ... or in a pictorial image

Hence why I took a giant ****ing step back from it after the referendum.
I still vote left, and always will. Could not bring myself to vote Tory, but these PC, Gender Fluid, Latte sipping, blue haired, feminist, marxist ****heads will never be anything more than fringe lunatics, just like the deranged neo-nazi ****s on the other side.

Yeah voting Tory is just a non starter imo

Voting labour tho, is a different kind of non starter.

We need a new breed in politics, and just as importantly a new breed of journalist coming out of the colleges

... or just that the world is a smaller place and when a would be dictator orders the teargassing of peaceful demonstrators in a modern western democracy, it's something to take a stand against <ok>

What you have to remember with the media in the US is that almost opposite to the UK, it's the TV networks that have partisan leanings and the newspapers that broadly tend to be less partial. CNN leans left, Fox lurches right. But Newspapers like the Washington Post, New York Times etc all broadly stay middle ground.

We'd never imagine somebody like Huw Edwards calling Boris an Obese upturned Turtle, but you could expect a Sun journo to come out with a similar quip.

While I agree its nowhere near as bad, Sky news mate. Is VERY bad, its Murdock corporate media
CNN called trump a fat turtle <doh> ffs
also, state media in 2020.. that's gotta go.

Any state media should be limited to informative services only, no sensationalizing, NO POLITICAL CAUSES and NO OPINION.

BBC is already doomed and has to go be a corporate media like SKY

I think Trump made a big mistake in the Presidential Elections and it's a rule of thumb that I often follow in politics, I want to know what you are going to do for the country, I'm not interested in hearing about the opposition, i apply the same rule of thumb to all other parties. I remember Corbyn doing it in the last Election, time and time again he would hold press conferences to try and discredit the Tories in someway. Even Starmer has started doing it, my advice to him would be if you want people to vote for you, tell them what YOU are going to do, I am not interested in what you think the opposition should be doing or should have done, it's always easy to speak ill of another when you are not the leading party. Biden has been very clever in his early speaches in stating about bringing the Nation together, regardless of how you voted, a few politicians in this country could certainly do with taking a few tips from him.

I watched the demonstration outside the Whitehouse live on CNN ... you obviously didn't... no trouble at all ... then the gas came and the baton charge without any provocation other than chanting ... then Action Tan comes out to have his photo opportunity outside the church ... holding a bible ffs ... but don't call him out because that is just because you are a left wing nutter <doh>

Well anything that Murdoch touches is always going to be a right wing vessel for his bile.

For all the criticism of the BBC, I think it does a fairly decent job. It's accused by the right of being left wing, and it's accused by the left for supporting the Tories. So that tells me it's probably doing okay at trying to stay impartial. Not perfect, but doing okay.

BBC is a vessel for war propaganda and hiding the truth about war from the public mate

I dont want to get into that, but you just try find the stories about the faked chemical weapons report that led to the UK gov firing cruise missiles at Syria.
Nothing on there. But the original story that is fake news, is still on there.

State media is always bad, always, even here in Finland, they tell the Finns nothing about what is really happening in the world

Both campaigns were fairly light on policy, that's generally how US election campaigns are run though, all about personality rather than substance. But at least Biden attempted to address healthcare, the environment, Covid policy etc. Trump just tried to slate Biden and his son and deny Covid was a problem ffs.

It's an establishment mouthpiece, I'll give you that. But it's more like an arm of the civil service than a partisan channel for any particular political party.
