The attacker appears to have been a Nation of Islam nutter called Noah Green.
Lost his job, developed mental and physical health problems and went down the rabbit hole of Louis Farrakhan's rants.

Had to look him up, never heard of this Louis fella. Had a very brief read of Farrakhan's wiki page, looks a complete nut job.

He's been around a long time and said a lot of crazy and offensive ****.
Now he's hooking them up with Scientology, by all accounts. Not sure how that works theologically speaking, but I'm certain there's money in it.

Yeah I noted the link with Scientology, weren't some celebrity like Tom Cruise or whoever linked up with them. So yeah will be money in it, endorsement by Hollywood (Tom Cruise), that's how fooked up all this shhite is.

Just watching the news, two testimonies have just obliterated the defence.

Firstly his own Police Chief has given evidence that he broke all police protocols in the way he restrained Floyd.

Then the paramedic who treated Floyd at the scene testifies the cause of death was likely hypoxia (deprived of oxygen).

Might as well send the jury out now.

Wrong thread but what the heck....yup even more condemning evidence today.

Although from a defending lawyer I would want proof that training was completed, even if it's just Chauvin confirming he did have it privately to his lawyer. Because there's one thing that's bugging me in the evidence that has been given, and if I was the defending lawyer, I'd be questioning it...

They said that counterfeit notes generally are seen as low profile offences, not worth the arrest. Afterall we've all handled counterfeit money at sometime in our life, even if unknowingly.

So my question is if the training was given and counterfeit isn't worth bothering with, why the fook were 3 cops sitting on him!? One yeah, maybe two but are they seriously suggesting 3-4 cops all broke protocol....hmmmm

I've lost track of threads on this <laugh>

That's a really good shout.

It all depends on what motivated the 3 coppers to do that. Was it the original counterfeit offence OR the fact they felt the situation was escalating and he posed a growing threat by his actions leading them to take that action.

Of course that leads to possible self-incrimination for the other 2 coppers. So then that begs the question what's in the best interests of them when they come to testify. They're not likely to throw themselves under the bus by claiming anything different to Chauvin's defence so they may back his story and say it was the former not the latter.

purely playing devils advocate, his Chief is of course going to point that out and toss him under the bus, the trial is a completely fraud as he is going to 100% be found guilty. So, the Chief will just try and get the force out of is unscathed as best as he can.

I think if you watched any number of videos of American cops, you'll see officers putting their knees on throats. It seems to be absolutely bog standard and they've never done anything about it before.

He's 100% guilty and should be thrown away, American cops and their antics are just disgusting tbh.

How I look at it, it seems to me that the Minneapolis Police Department are trying to throw Chauvin to the wolves, and I have absolutely no problem with that. That's great in the sense I want Chauvin to get 40 years.

Where I have the problem, it seems to me the police department are trying to shrug off their responsibility. Four cops not following protocol is more than a mistake, error of judgement or even murder....I'd be wanting to look at the entire department.

This stinks and I think some chiefs are covering their arses. Bit like corporate manslaughter if you get the angle I'm coming from.

Wouldn't argue with any of that <ok>

It isn't just Minneapolis Police Dept, it's throughout the American police forces. The LA police seem the worst. Places like Ohio as well.

I may be wrong but I think New York coppers are probably the best trained at dealing with these situations but they came through the **** back in the 70's and 80's and spent 40 odd years changing their approach. That's just what I've heard though so could be wrong.

The New York coppers were slammed for their handling of the recent race riots weren't they? Or was that the national guard?

The ****ness of the LAPD was the primary reason OJ Simpson got away with murder.

They should really be the best of them all after the mass re-training brought about by the Rodney King killing.

I think dealing with race riots is different, you're going to get slammed whatever you do, especially in the U.S. I meant more in terms of individual arrests/investigations. I think there's a general acceptance that the cops there are firm but fair with every fcker there black or white.

Hubbard was an absolute genius, made his own religion based on his sons LSD trip and walked off with $1/2b
