I didn't realise he can exonerate himself and others from prosecution of crimes from now until January. This is an absolute crazy law. He is a criminal who deserves prison and it will be shocking if he gets away with his crimes.

I don't think he can exonerate himself. That's why I predicted he'll place Pence in charge before he leaves and Pence will make sure he's free from prosecution in the future.

I'm just going by what was said on one of the TV channels last night of what he can do between now and January.

I'm not 100% on it. I thought the president couldn't exonerate himself, like when Ford pardoned Nixon.
 
If Trump resigns, Pence can pardon him, but only of federal crimes, so any State can still go ahead and charge him. Somehow I think he’ll be giving states like New York a wide birth!
