I'd love him to get his way but he is going to struggle to do anything at all until 22. His republican mates in the senate will block absolutely everything.
Yes... As my poor understanding has it, Congress says how much money can be spent on what, the Senate approve it or no, and the President signs or vetos it...
Not just that though is it. Biden could be in for a tough time even getting his key positions filled as members of the Cabinet (except for the VP) are appointed by the president, subject to confirmation by the Senate which, being Trumpite Republican dominated, is going to be extremely hostile
As far as I am concerned Biden's main (and maybe his only) job is to oust Trump and get elected as president.
I wasn't saying that antifa or BLM are democrats. I was just pointing out that some of the folk from those clans would be voting against Trump so Biden gets their vote by default.
Headline from the Washington Post. Democratic convention embraces Black Lives Matter. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...de2ce8-e0f7-11ea-b69b-64f7b0477ed4_story.html "the 2020 convention aligned itself Monday with the Black Lives Matter movement without dissent. Of course, given the convention’s virtual presentation, there were no delegates or protesters to raise a ruckus — but there also was nothing to suggest the message was controversial within the party."
The fact that they endorsed what they are fighting for does not mean they are linked. Antifa certainly are not linked to the democratic party.
And this is another reason why Trump put a far right evangelical Christian as head of the supreme court. She will prevent Biden from putting laws through including those that will lead to his own prosecution.
I think he'll step aside and put Pence in until December. Pence will then be able to give him an exemption from any prosecution.
That is why he has put a far right evangelist puppet in charge of the supreme court. It will be interesting when she blocks him facing justice and could lead to unprecedented legal issues there.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett is the newest and most junior Justice appointed to the Supreme Court and is therefore an Associate Justice, the Chief Justice is John G. Roberts, Jr and he is the head of the court. However the court is loaded with conservative Judges.
