In fact it was such a bad one I'm surprised lambo didn't suspect a whoosh...
Wasn't he one of those who we were linked with signing (as a player) in quite a high-profile pursuit at one point? About 10 years ago under Phil Brown I think. Think he was at Sheff United at the time.
It was that period when we'd often have very public chases for a player which didn't usually come off, like Christian Vieri, or Juninho, or the slightly smaller names of Andrew Davies and Malcolm Christie.
