I despair at all this fear mongering about a no-deal scenario.
Our government's bargaining position should have started from a no-deal default and then seen what the EU might offer, rather than taking the very circuitous and nationally harmful route of keeping us in by backdoor and slight of hand methods.
By staying in the EU, in the manner we are, we will be royally punished for progressing a leave scenario as far as it has already gone.

A no deal scenario would only be thinkable,or make sense, if we were a self sufficient country on the verge of building socialism in one country. As it is we will be stepping out alone into a globalized World where the 'rule makers' are the EU. China and the USA - break your connections and you become 'rule takers', as simple as that. There are a few countries which manage to live outside of the rules of the big three - Russia, North Korea and Iran to name a few but these are very different cases to that of the UK.
There is not one.. Every ordinary citizen will be poorer for years to come.. We already are..I'm still waiting, nearly 2 years later, how Brexit will benefit the population of the UK. Not soundbites or 'sovereignty' nonsense, how will it improve the day to day life of UK citizens.
Can anyone please give me one example, just one single example?

Senior UK border officials have called on their French counterparts to properly manage the Northern French coast to prevent the hordes of smuggling gangs from openly operating their illegal trade. The Home Office has warned it is only a matter of time before people lose their lives.
You were always told that there was no way you could protect an island border. You should stop trying to blame others, and if you are so concerned about loss of life, start buying some boats.
You cannot blame others when you wish to be an independent country. You have to find a way to deal with the problems and not expect others to keep baling you out. £100 million just spent on emergency measures to obtain ferry space. Maybe you should spend some of it on border force personal and equipment. Of course it is all a waste of scarce resources as highlighted by the Met. police. You need to work out what you really want to spend limited income on, as it has been clearly shown that there will be no savings by leaving the EU.The blame obviously lies with the useless French police and coastguards, are they all on holiday or dealing with riots elsewhere?
Two of my friends in for English exams today, one of whom is a senior nurse at a hospital of world renown and has been there for two decades. £150 fee and a 06:00 train to London also at her expense. Outrageous. I know of people who've already packed their bags and left, University lecturers no less, and who can blame them? I'm ashamed of my country.
