One of the few advantages from all this mess is that SH. has not used the soundbite 'Strong and stable Government' for a long time now - even the phrase 'Natural party of government' hasn't come up for a while, because heaven help us if that is the case. The whole thing is a shambles ! Apparently there is a poll as to whether Downing Street should be renamed either 'Drowning Street' or 'Clowning Street' - I prefer the first. So, apparently, Parliament no longer has a say in the UK. Only a minority Government which is petrified by an even smaller group within its own ranks can decide. So much for taking back control, democracy is dying before our eyes.

I'm sure I used "Natural party of government to describe the Tories last week, they must be as there is no viable alternative. Democracy is alive and kicking as the government is still honouring the referendum result so far.

What we have seen in the Commons is the chaos that this government has brought about simply to try and protect itself. For over two years business have had their investment on hold until they know where they are taking the country, and after today there is still no clarity. The trade figures show that the country continues to slip further behind with manufacturing showing no growth at all, and services slowing to minimal growth.
Having been rebuked for being in contempt once, it sounded as if Mr. Speaker was casting doubts on their honesty again. Of course as you watched you could see the non answers to direct questions. There is still no way forward and I see no possibility of enough change to placate the rabid Brexiteers.

You have to point the finger at the Tory party for getting us into this mess.. Inexcusable that a Party in Govt could behave in this way. In any other setting they would have to go.....

Macron's desperate spending splurge to prevent further nationwide demonstrations against his government has failed to satisfy many of those rioting every weekend. His promised raft of unaffordable giveaways is closely being monitored by the EU as France mounting debt is likely to result in joining Italy above the 100% GDP rate. France's budget deficit is due to rise above the limit of 3% which will attract hefty fines from the EU.

Macron's reputation as a reformer has been completely ruined, many in France will not be satisfied until they achieve his resignation.

Perhaps May, Macron and Merkel can be voted off this week, there must be better out there.

The Italian Deputy Prime Minister has sent a warning to the EU that the Brussels block would come to an end if the Commission agreed to Macron's costly sop to the French rioters whilst sanctioning Italy for their spending plans. France's budget deficit is forecast to rise to 3.5% of GDP, probably 4% because the economy is heading for a light recession.

I can see from your little tittering man here that you think you are being funny - I am very happy for you, but nobody else thinks that way.

Even my wife does not get my jokes, you are not alone. Mind you mixing with Germans excessively you are bound to lose your sense of humour :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Even if half a million who voted Brexit are not.
