Did you import meat or other food products that had to be tested and approved before they could be moved across national boundaries? This is completely different to importing non-perishable materials that can be stored in a warehouse until needed. If you are happy to allow untested food products onto the UK markets that is your choice.
Is this ‘expert’ as in Nivea Men Expert? i.e. using the word ‘expert’ with abandon is to reassure the stupid they are in safe hands.

Slowly, oh so slowly, people are beginning to realise how they have been conned. In April of this year people that I know still believed that there was such a thing as a good Brexit. No longer. The £350M a week for the NHS is clearly a lie, leaving some extremely angry. Chaotic scenes at ports and airports if you are a frequent traveller have finally sunk in. Worries about supplies of vital medicines which are not made in the UK have added to their fears. People who once were fans of Boris now wish to see him thrown out of the Tory party. No wonder they are joining the ever growing band who wish to overthrow what was a deeply flawed referendum. I wonder how many more will have the guts to admit they were wrong?
I see the government have been given a two week period to come up with a defence in the latest battle in the courts. Yet again they thought that they could simply turn up and have a case thrown out. Once again they were wrong. Clearly there is a case for them to answer.

A whole lot of wishful thinking rather than based on facts. The legal challenge will be squashed just like the rest have been. We did have the totally incorrect project fear lies from the remainers but the referendum result will still stand.
I'm just off for a curry to celebrate a week closer to freedom day early next year.
Wishful thinking? I don't think so. My friends have just booked a holiday in Sardinia and Corsica for next April, at least they hope they have. The list of conditions they have never needed to worry about before have been written into their contract. Currency fluctuations, health insurance, car hire, driving licences, visa applications, credit card purchases, ATM usage, duty free purchases etc are all unknowns, so the company has given a warning of the possible extra costs, and they have even given themselves the right to cancel totally. Due to a shambles created by this government no one can even say that there will be flight to catch.

You do seem to be most unlucky in coming across folk that are unable to distinguish between 'project fear' and reality. The best thing for you to do is advise these vulnerable people that there are 'bad people' out there that purposely promote false stories because they were unable to accept the referendum result. If you fail to reassure them just advise them to change their holiday destinations to a more modest Brighton or Eastbourne, they might be much safer nearer home..
A typical leaver piece of whimsy. Actual details of contracts being written today denied and still some strange belief that this is all project fear. I wonder what effect it will have on those zealots when reality turns around and bites them? Maybe though telling people where they should take their holidays is all part of the plan. You will do as you are told rather than what you want to do. Live within the walls we are erecting as we don't want you to see there are better things outside. Just very sad.
Most people don't read the small print that has been there for ages. Some people are frightened of their own shadows so can easily be worried by those that have a vested interest in creating fear. The 'project fear' so far has turned out to be embarrassingly wrong. Why should anybody take notice of these negative fantasy stories in the future, they have lost all credibility.
Can you explain why the UK government has been talking about safeguarding food supplies, stockpiling medicines, blood products and turning motorways into lorry parks? According to your logic this is not about trying to keep the country running, but more project fear. Seeing as it is the government policy to leave the EU, not the remainers, then it is the Brexiteers creating project fear. Strangely enough I don't see any reports of governments this side of the Channel needing to make such plans.
This whole thing has nothing much to do with economics, or with project fear, but rather with a generational war. It is all about erecting boundaries, and imposing a judgement on younger people who have grown up considering themselves European, a judgement imposed by those elder generations who resent being in a club on only equal terms with 'Krauts' and 'Frogs'. According to latest polls 82% of voters aged 18-24 would vote remain in a second referendum, the figure is 67% for those aged 25-34, and 55% for the 35-44 age group. Far from coming together the generations appear to have hardened their stance on Brexit - however, the younger generations must live much longer with the results of this catastrophe. It's not hard to see why the generations differ on this - apparently 61% of those aged 18-34 think that immigration enriches Britain's social and cultural life, compared to only 38% of those aged 55 and over.

My friends over from England have changed their minds from leave to remain despite being in the older age group. "No talk of emergency planning during the referendum campaign, so we are not too proud to admit we made a mistake" As both my friends have regular use of the NHS, they feel cheated which has turned them against the leading politicians in the leave campaign. They are not political animals so never really questioned the problems. Maybe if the 80+ documents that are due to be published this and next month had been available earlier we would have seen an even larger swing against the fantasists.
If you look hard enough it is easy to find contacts that agree with your view, it means nothing really.
I did not have to have to look very far to see that your government is making emergency plans for a no deal departure. If it is not an emergency then it is creating fear.
The government is responsibly preparing for the EU to ramp up any difficulties it can. Normally you whinge about perceived inaction now it's action that bothers you, strange.
Is this the kind of news you want to hide away.
