Freedom in this instance is totally perception... Politically and economically the average person will see little gain.. Maybe [emoji225] into rights.. And more hassle.. Like our freedom to travel will be more restricted, E 111 out the window, mobile access etc.

Of course it is of consequence. But not as serious right now as the failure of our Parliament to give any certainty whatsoever about the biggest political issue facing this country in 60 years. If this was going well I suspect we would hear less about what happens elsewhere.

My feeling is that 27 countries are united, despite their problems, in being able to agree how to conduct discussions with a UK that doesn't actually have a clear view of what it does want. Parliament is split in so many ways, throughout the parties, they are reflecting the referendum result. You cannot tell me that everyone who voted to leave had the same view that you hold. Many would have been taken in by the it will all be so easy and you will not notice the difference claims. Today we have seen that even the militant tendency of the Tories cannot agree a common position. How many more companies taking money out of the UK, or companies saying they are relocating to Europe does it take before you start to question if you have been sold a pup?

“The prime minister has done a pretty good job of standing up to them up till now, but they were drinking champagne to celebrate her losing her deal and I regard that as being treachery,” he told the House magazine.

“I read that Nigel Farage is setting up a new party called ‘Brexit’ and if I were them I’d be looking at that, because that seems to reflect their views more than the Conservative party does. They should read carefully what that party’s got to offer, because in my view they’re not Conservatives.

“There are people who are very solid and stringent in their views and if I were they I would be looking at a party that seems designed for them – Nigel Farage’s party.”

This surely is the truth. For years they have tried to drag the Tory Party in their direction, and have not really been inclined to put the country first, but make sure that their particular agenda, takes over from a party that once ruled for all, not just the rich. Despite his financial support for the Tories, SH has admitted it is not for government, but for this right wing grouping of people who really would be better bed fellows with Farage than the party. Instead of spending more money for an an election appeal SH, start passing over your cash to Farage who you admire so much that you think he should be knighted.

Remainer May has allowed herself to be manipulated by those who would like to defy the will of the people. If a sensible deal cannot be achieved with the EU's negotiators then we should leave without a formal deal. To rule out a no deal scenario is a sign of weakness.

Maybe you should look at the latest growth tables which show that the UK is actually doing rather poorly, and well below the the EU average.

You have no proof that the ERG represent the views of most Tory voters. They might have a following amongst Tory members, but as we know they are a very small, and decreasing number. What is this weakness you talk about? The UK is numerically rather a small entity compared to the EU. Why do you think that Japan is playing you along, saying that they will not give you as good a deal as you currently have? Sorry but despite what you were told, you don't hold all the cards.

For decades the people in the poorest areas of Britain have been duped by the Tories, and the right wing media, into thinking that the reason they were poor was because the EU had been taking away their money ! Their reaction to this incessant propaganda is what you call 'The Will of the People' - led on by an ultra Thatcherite right wing fringe group which would use the votes of such deluded people in order to strip away what remaining rights they have. Talk about the turkeys voting for Christmas. The ERG are like a Cancer growth within the party and TM's mistake is in humouring them - you do not talk to cancer growths, you cut them out by any means possible.
