It was a foam that dissolves, I don't think it's a bad idea, the ref can easily tell if the wall has crept.

That would have confused the hell out of Robbie Fowler, he'd be trying to sniff all along that line before it disolves.

Ward-prowse is starting for England tonight and wearing the number 7 shirt. Game kicks off at 7 and is live on euro sport 1 and streamed on FIFA.com in some countries

Hope he has a better evening than the Croatian number 7 Livaja who got booked after 5 seconds and has just missed a penalty. Incidentally Bueno is on the bench in this game.

Good start from England. Prowsey looking pivotal to a lot of moves.

Does this mean we might see someone take a good corner next season?

Bueno came on in the second half, I caught about 10 minutes of it. Looked alright, would have been through on goal (from a dodgy angle but still) but for a dodgy offside call. Also put in a decent cross from an awkward body position and won a corner after almost miscontrolling it out of play.

When Prowse has played for us he has usually taken the corners, I haven't seen him hit a bad one.

I think England can afford to be a bit more adventurous in this game, absolutely nothing is coming down the wings but the fullbacks are still playing pretty deep, I'd like to see Prowse play higher up in the 2nd half, at times he's crushed between the CBs and the rest of the midfield with no space.

Haha, it was a bit. Wish I'd tuned in earlier and seen more. The couple of times he had possession, I was impressed by his very close control when dribbling (well, except for the time when he almost let it out for a goal kick).

Ward Prowse takes an excellent corner, even better than Fox I would say. It's even worth having him in the first team just for corners as we have no-one else who can take a decent one.

I agree that he may be better used higher up the pitch, a few times I've seen him make the forward run but not get the ball, although Iraq are defending quite deep in numbers so there isn't much space for anyone in the final third.
