Since SR took over we've managed a huge, massive, 12 Premier league wins. (8 of which were under Ralph) Simply stunning owners
Apologies if already posted, but before yesterday, Brentford had scored 5 away goals in the league this season.
I think their recruitment was a lot better than ours. They improved from the team they had last season. We didn’t. Remember Ipswich beat us twice last season.
It's not hard to do better than our recruitment As the season is going on the gap in quality is looking bigger, but I'm still not sure if man for man there is much in it. What would be interesting; and sadly we'll never know, is if we swapped summer signings would we be where Ipswich are now and they be where we are? Maybe we'd be closer than 10 points off them, but I feel like we'd still be bottom.
Yeah he feels like he would have been a good fit for us seeing how he has been playing for Ipswich. He'd have likely improved us an attacking team, but he wouldn't have helped much with all the goals we've gifted teams through the suicidal tactics we've been deploying for most of the season. Or been able to help plug the many gaping gaps in midfield. My point with swapping our signings around was more, would the players that are doing well for Ipswich do so well when playing for us? Would Delap for example be just as starved for service and quality around him as our current strikers are and thus not so effective. And would our signings that have stunk the place out here be doing better at Ipswich. We'll never know for sure, but I suspect so.
Lifted off Saintsweb - the last time we won a PL game by more than one goal was February 2022. Though thinking about I'm not sure that's correct. Didnt we beat Chelsea 2-0 last time?
Trying to rack my brains here; Chelsea (A) - Selles Everton (A) - Jones Everton (H) - Martin ?? What was the other one? Everton must really hate us, maybe it's them again
