I only keep updated by the guys at work talking about it but I thought everyone was beating Bradford 60 - 0 or something. Did they change their team or are Hull FC* just that ****?

*For the attention of Blampey. Hull still means Hull City for us none Rugby fans. If someone says Hull in a post they mean City so stop being a ****. Also there isn't and has never been a Hull team called HCFC despite the popular song. Learn to ****ing spell your team's acronym correctly please as it irritates me every time I read one of your posts more than the drivel in the post itself, which is sayong something. Just saying. Thanks for reading.

Don't waste your vote.

I agree with you, but I think that the TV companies will think otherwise.

Nah I don't get this argument about viewing figures. For Trencin they were practically giving away the rights. They publicly stated they only wanted half of what they charge for a usual Slovakian league game (so five grand) and still no one was interested. And it's not like the broadcasters have all got packed schedules so they can't squeeze in a football match. Most channels have nothing of note on, most of the time and the sports channels are the worst for it. Look at the Sky Sports channels when there isn't a game on. I can't believe the crap they have on most of the time gets higher viewing figures than any live football would.

Nobody will be interested in watching us even if we make the group stages tbh , nobody bothered watching Wigan last season...we will be the same

It wasn't brad fords first win they've won a few
Didn't they beat Wigan
Simmer down with the bitterness

Bitterness? I couldn't give a toss.
I just find it laughable that the local media are still clinging onto the 'fading Play-Off hopes' They've had a awful season, kin dreadful, and one which Pinoccio promised silverware and a top four finish. They've never been in a Play-Off place all season and if the game wasn't so amateurishly run they would have been battling against relegation all season. Play-Off's my arse.

You've played/about to play two nobodies.

Were you up in arms when Birmingham's or Wigan's early Europa league games weren't broadcast?

No, but I don't support Birmingham or Wigan do I? What kind of point is that?

Lokeren are hardly nobodies, they're pretty well known in Belgium and I think most people with a vested interest in football have heard of them.

Swansea played Malmo FF in the 3QR and then Petrolul Ploiesti in the Play-off round. No, me neither, but I remember both rounds being shown on TV, even if one of them was in some back water Romanian stadium (in fact I'm pretty sure one was behind closed doors...) and they still found time to broadcast it on Channel 5.

It's absurd, it's not even about the principle, but I can't get to the away game (I'm having to give my ticket to my brother and his friend, for a small fee of course) due to work and I'd at least like to be able to watch it on TV. I'm sure there'll be a stream, but it's not the same as being able to go to the pub and watch it. Something has got to be done here, otherwise we'll just be forever overlooked.

I watched the Swansea game last season, I assume a fair few non-City fans would watch our game if it was on, it's still an English team playing in the Europa League.

Do you infer also that Swansea are an English team? They wont like that in west Wales :)

It's diminishing returns - as more and more teams compete then there's less interest.

When Norwich City & Aston Villa were the only English teams in the UEFA Cup it was a huge tie.

The play offs haven't been doable for about 10 games so that is laughable so I agree.
I just don't get all the animosity between the sports.
True Hull Fc are woeful this season but they will always underachieve.
the Newcastle of Rugby League would best be the description

Observation from me (not a RL fan in particular)

Pearson went for the cheap option in appointing Radford and it's back fired. They've been lucky this season in that Bradford and Broncos have always been doomed to relegation*. Any other season and Hull FC would have been in real danger of going down.

*relegation has been introduced for the first time in many seasons.

Money really isn't an issue to Pearson, it would have cost more to sack the last coach and appoint Radford than it would to have just stuck with the last coach.

Agree on the second point though, they are lucky to have avoided relegation, in all honesty it wouldn't have been a bad thing, the club needs rebuilding from the ground up and relegation would have forced that.

Obviously no interest from TV companies in this game (which infers there was little interest from advertisers either) disappointing for City fans but its par for the course with an unfashionable team in the EL qualifiers.

Just being told by a Belgium lad theres going to be no tv coverage....bloody disgusting, the way its going even if we get to the final we still wouldnt be shown !

btw the Spurs home leg week on thursday is being shown by Itv 4

Wizziwig are showing our game for those looking for a stream.

Haven't people said this for both legs of the 3rd Round games? Do we know there's actually a stream?
