Nancy Pelosi is the speaker of House of Representative. American Margret Thatcher who is not for turning.

 

Very different politically than Thatcher though. She's rather far to the left, not one of the Democrats more moderate members.

I do really like how she takes no crap from Trump though and keeps out manoeuvering him, like the shutdown and the state of the union.

That's not true. It's true that many Democrats are to the right of some conservatives in the UK; but, politicians spread all the way to the left here too.

Back on Thatcher, she would easily fit in with the Republican party in the US. There are many moderate Republicans who would be to the left of Thatcher.

Even most Republicans wouldn't try passing a tax like the poll tax.
