the problem for me is that this has been a period of global growth so the UK has grown but more slowly than the rest of Europe.

the Brexiteers will say the same scare mongering occurred on first vote and nothing happen ed

That same argument about voters not getting what they voted for or led to believe was getting can also count for the general elections.

We don't have another one just because torries etc lied on their promises do we. So why is this Brexit thing going on and on.

    Why?

The ****s voted in on the general elections are the ones doing the brexit deals lol.

Are they both not important. But that wasn't my point it was about the blatant lying and we have no say in it.

Because one general election won't destroy the country. This will.

What puzzles me is that this decision will affect people for a generation and longer. yet some people are saying that we HAVE to Brexit no matter what. Is there a rule which says that there is no possibility of reversing a decision which we know will cause self harm? Even if a great majority of the population are now against Brexit.

What annoys me is that those who are pushing for it most won't be economically affected by it. The poorest will be most affected and there won't be the EU safety net provided for the poorest areas of the country.

I'm surprised union rules has not applied tbh. especially labour.

    protect the status quo.

if things were so bad and I mean so so bad that getting rid of eu rules was a must... well.... did you notice that? I didn't.

    you have to wonder

btw the brexit deal is only how the uk leaves the eu not any sort of final trade agreement.

it says customs union, carves off some parts of ni economy to stay in single market aka eu. uk can never get out of this state.

and thus zombie status has been assigned

    Now raab has resigned <laugh>

It's got to the point now that If it was greece or italy and not the Uk the thing would be dismissed and total amateurs and a technocrat would be appointed to lead the horse to the drinking water.

It seems to me that the global up turn must be very strong cos the way this is going the UK should really be in full on recession and implosion right now.

What I find hilarious is David Davies the last brexit nutcase has to have been involved in these negotiations deeply and known the content to some level prior to his leaving.

Raab has known all these details and has chosen to now step down after this deal has been put together....

Like... was he even involved or is he saying faceless diplomats negotiated all this and he's an innocent bystander?

May keeps appointing leavers to the brexit secretary role but we should just rename it as minister for "resigning to save face over a deal that we never though how bad it could be."

I can't wait til they finally get round to actually negotiating a future relationship with the EU.

The witch responsible for universal credit **** up has resigned claiming it's over the brexit deal.

Bollocks!!! She is just walking away from the mess she created and using this as an excuse to jump ship.

Cabinet ministers Dominc Raab and Esther McVey have both resigned in protest at Theresa May's draft Brexit deal, plunging her own future into doubt.
Northern Ireland minister Shailesh Vara also resigned on Thursday morning amid a fierce backlash over the draft agreement, which was passed by the Cabinet on Wednesday evening.
The prime minister now faces a battle to get it through Parliament as Brexiteer Conservative MPs - as well as some Remainers - condemn the plan, accusing her of breaking promises and handing control back to Brussels.
Reports suggest a vote of confidence could be forced through by lunchtime, which if lost would trigger a Tory party leadership contest. Donald Tusk and Michel Barnier were making statements today ahead of a further statement in the Commons from Mrs May.

All the brexiteers resigning to insure they don't get what they want and their relevance in British politics drags on for a little while longer... seriously most of them this is all their careers have become.. actually pass it? Never.

There really will be another ref.

Whoever comes out as PM. They need to say... we are in the EU until someone comes up with a plan, that is voted in favour of by a majority of parliament and then presented to the people for referendum... yes or no

That way they can fiddle away in Westminster and the rest of us will be happy to go on being part of EU... any member of the public that voted for brexit whines about democracy? Point to their political leaders and say..."show me the plan!"
