Part of me does wonder if much of this Trump media hysteria is in part to distract from Syria and what is going on there the past year.

Trump's military currently occupies the East Syrian oil fields. You'd think this is news, but apparently it doesn't compare to his hands being too small or the stupid **** he says

Also, how ****ed up is it that in the UK going to fight against ISIS in Syria is terrorism and going to fight for ISIS is "come home and be let go
Aidan James: Briton 'fighting against Isis in Syria' charged with terror offences
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...a-westminster-magistrates-court-a8213926.html

GP reveals how she is trying to free returning jihadi brides from ISIS control as critics demand answers as to why they have been allowed to 'slip back into Britain'
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-effort-free-jihadi-brides-ISIS-control.html

I do hope people are still not stupid enough to believe the White Helmets an NGO, they are in fact funded by the Home office with 10s of millions of your tax pounds, and strip gold and wealth from the dead and living where ever they operate and are in fact militants not an NGO, head chopping heart eating killers.

Now in East Ghouta the Islamists again (like Aleppo) wont let civilians leave during this ceasefire because they lose their human shields. 15000 foreign fighters backed by our saintly states in Ghouta. Then people wonder how civilians get hit when these ****s are firing rockets and such from Civilian areas and HOPING for a response that kills civilians.

There's definitely a lot went wrong before it came to this guys decision making.

If He's telling the truth then he did nothing wrong. Even if he isn't I genuinely feel sorry for him because no matter what he has to live with that.

See Florida has passed a bill allowing for teachers to carry firearms in schools. Watch for repeat aftet repeat of that same decision having to be made not by police officers but teachers; will each teacher who thought they'd act in the moment who doesn't when it comes to it be as vilified?

Or worse....if they shoot kids in a gun battle if they react?

    ****ing lunatics running the asylum.

    Labour and racism.. again.
Why do labour have advisers that are utterly racist?

Corbyn happy to be seen next to this racist too.
I wonder what would happen to progressive heads if Trump put Richard Spencer on this advisory board <laugh>

Andrew Neil asks Labour and labour refuse to say it's racism, watch the mental gymnastics.

Wtf has happened the Labour Party?!

I despise the BBC but I like Andrew Neil, no one gets off his hook, right or left <laugh>

WASHINGTON — President Trump stunned Republicans on live television Wednesday by embracing gun control and urging a group of lawmakers at the White House to resurrect gun safety legislation that has been opposed for years by the powerful National Rifle Association and the vast majority of his party.
In a remarkable meeting, the president veered wildly from the N.R.A. playbook in front of giddy Democrats and stone-faced Republicans. He called for comprehensive gun control legislation that would expand background checks to weapons purchased at gun shows and on the internet, keep guns from mentally ill people, secure schools and restrict gun sales for some young adults. He even suggested a conversation on an assault weapons ban.

The orange moron is making a right call at least, I listened to the argument put out by a NRA spokes(person) Dana Loesch on the age thing, and it was a poor argument to put forward.

The fact an 18 year old can get an AR15 (arma-lite? rifle) not "assault rifle" and has to wait to 21 to get a pistol, is lunacy and no reasonable argument can be made for that contradiction, as much as the NRA may try.

So I do wonder now, if Trump is willing to act, why did Obama do **** all except cause gun sales to increase several times by just talking, and doing nothing. Dems took the whole government when Obama was elected, the Republicans were wiped out, he could have done something

I don't think raising the age to 21 is enough of a counter measure.

I have one question though, re the left and liberal media
How is it the NRA's fault for the mass shooting of others and at the same time, it is not the fault of blacks to be killing people in huge numbers with guns in Democrat runs cities like Chicago?
Chicago 2016 <yikes> "The city saw a surge in gun violence in 2016: 762 murders, 3,550 shooting incidents, and 4,331 shooting victims"

That is insane, and is largely ignored bar the odd report. Where are Black Lives matter when it comes to that ^^^

While the mass shootings understandably get huge coverage, the constant killing in those democrat run cities is largely ignored by the media in the US.

the argument on obama is not right. obama tried but has not the support of the houses. theres been over 100 attempts to do gun control.in usa. all blocked.

the fact trump said something in direct contradiction to his electioneering is fair enough bit he has not taken any action until something goes to the houses and then we will see if the republicans once again block it.

i think your argument about democrat run cities is entirely spurious.

they ALL serve interests not the people.

democrats took control of the house and senate in 2006 mate. They had all the chances to make changes then

but I agree, they had not control when Obama was in in 2012. <ok>

Gun control is a delicate problem for the politicians especially the republican. Some firms are going to go under if there
is a strict gun control in US.

obama was elected in 2009, up to 2015 the democrats held the senate. they only held house of representatives til 2011.

sandy hook happened in 2012.... its like saying he should have... and he should but he did what he did in his first two years. I'm sure economy was far more in his mind at that time having walked in on the biggest catastrophy for us economy since 1930s.

this imo would be a reasonably fair summation of his efforts written but no friend of obama https://www.thoughtco.com/obama-gun-laws-passed-by-congress-3367595

congress passed nothing. thats partisan politics for you.

As the issue has only gotten worse and polls show a majority of ordinary Americans in favour of banning assault rifles. (and calling something an armalite v assualt rifle is splitting hairs mate) It will be interesting to see if trump puts anything through or if he finds the same issues obama did.

hist first step is to actually try. so when he does lets see it.

Didn't know where else to post this. I approached a German guy via LinkedIn for a job I'm working on for a Head of Diagnostics Development. He was really interested, but he's decided he's going back to Germany, because of Brexit. He's been over here for 10 years, so he would have been fine. However, his response is below.

Thanks for your interest Andy - it means a lot to me and shows that there are still people out there who care. Whether we like Brexit or not - it was a democratic vote and if so many people can´t identify themselves with the European idea then we have to accept the outcome of the vote. The EU certainly has many downsides and many things go wrong - everyone knows that but rather than turning the back, wouldn´t it be better to try and change the negative things to the better so that everyone benefits from it?
We were thinking to return to Germany a while ago. The parents are getting older and may need help at some point. The tip on the balance was that there are still too many uncertainties (transfer of state pensions, healthcare, settlement status...) and the growing European resentments that accelerated our decision. Anyway, I really like this country despite all the latest developments and I honestly hope things turn out well for the UK one way or the other.

    Best wishes,

    Stephan

    ****ing Brexit <grr>

    lol

Even when an EU commission remember was guilty of corruption the parliament couldn't shift him
Strange you of all people want to be dictated to by the French and Germans and a coterie of dodgy bureaucrats in Brussels <laugh>

Fix the EU<laugh> Every vote and decision against their regulations gets laughed at and ignored.

Poland is reforming its own justice system and the EU strips Poland of voting rights. Why do people clamor for an EU dictatorship, where they elect presidents in elections with only one candidate, like Batter's last FIFA election
