That's the crux of it. A lot of people are sick of the banging on about Brexit - we voted for 'out' and that's that, kind of thing. The vote shouldn't have stood due to the outside influence of foreign powers and interests. The process was completely compromised.
Hidden levers were gradually revealed that were working to bring about Brexit but by then it was too late. There were legal challenges at the time but I wish they did one on this fundamental point.

I think I've lost all understanding of what's normal and and acceptable.
I've just watched Trump being interviewed in the White House, surrounded by what looks like bright eyed little grandchildren.
As they look on, Trump is glibly waffling on about 'the killings, executions and hangings.'
Am I totally out of touch or does anyone else wonder why no one tells him to STFU>

I'd hoped to pop my clogs, and get out of this madness, before it totally erupts but this is escalating so quickly now.

The fact this Greenland thing has raised its head thanks to new shipping routes and solid land appearing due to global warming makes things even more depressing.

Norway, has no authority over Greenland,'. That belongs to Denmak.
Niether Norway or Denmark have anything to do with the awardig of Nobel Prizes.
An Independent Committee in Sweden does this.
In raising the interresting question of just who owns any particular piece of land is, I would have thought a bit risky.
Apart from the present Greenlanders, who have occupied the country for about as long as the 'white man' has occupied what is now The USofA, there are the Inuits, who MAY have been there even as the Native Americans were making their way south having crossed what were now know as the Bering Strait during an ice age.
The President seems to know that Demark are the sovereign power here, so why blame Norway?
