It would appear that while the playing squad is still short on quality , the same might be said of our "player recruitment team"
Why did we let Huth go knowing that Shallcross has a problem ? Muniesa also has a problem staying fit. Wollscheid is too slow. That leaves Wilson and Cameron in central defense , and if one gets injured or suspended , what do we do ? I would like to see a fit Shallcross , watching over Johnson at right back , partnered in central defense with Cameron , while a fit Muniesa takes Nzonzi's spot. Muniesa could then work with his mate , a fit Bojan. It could work.
AFFELAY'S STOKE MEDICAL Sky sources: Midfielder Ibrahim Affelay is having a medical at Stoke City. The 29-year-old Dutch international played 29 times for the Greek side last year, scoring six goals.
The 29-year-old spent four and a half years as a Barca player but made only 35 first team appearances in that time and was loaned to Olympiakos last season.
PREM DUO IN FOR HULL WING-BACK Stoke City and West Brom are among the clubs interested in bringing Hull wing-back Ahmed Elmohamady back to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail. The 27-year-old has a year left on his contract but is keen to leave the KC Stadium and is valued at £3m by the Tigers.
Thank you Smithers. ANOTHER Barca reject And as for the other 'targets' , we do NOT need anymore 29/30 years old ish journeymen ala Bardsley. In my humble opinion and of course I know I'm correct
No I agree - I've always had an issue with the age of our squad but I understand the difficulty in balancing proven ability with youth.
Another one with the " Played in Barcelona " backstamp , and cost less than Bo , hope he is as good as Bo. But then I am troubled by the adage You get what you pay for. Because Bo could be the exception that proves the rule. How many of these new recruits will face 'pool ? How many more will be sent out on loan ? Have Stoke solved Wollschied's lack of pace problem ? Will Stoke spend any serious money ? These and other mundane questions may be answered in the days to come.
mark my words this guy is brilliant, ive watched him quite a bit and he is a very good player, cant wait to see him in a stoke shirt
Stoke have completed the signing of Sergio Molina from Real Madrid and the 19-year-old has agreed a three-year de
