I just can’t get enthused about loans. But needs must I suppose.

Why doesn’t Fraser show a bit of self respect, if he wants out and wants to move to a league / club that is skint, he will have to suffer a pay cut. That’s the way it goes.

You don’t often see Old Bill at a football match these days, particularly in L1.
True enough but I still reckon 25 rozzers, 2 ambulances will be taken up by the game with a gate of say 10,000. I’m not sure what the requirements are but you also have the BT police on the networks. I’m hoping we get a game but won’t be surprised if it is pulled

Our only chunky police bill occurs when @TC (Lovely Geezer) and the Spanners visit, although TC travels alone to most of our home games.

Had a brief look, and he’s obviously a promising keeper.

Whether we should be prioritising experience over promise between the sticks is another question.

He has plenty of International experience. It is a bit of a conundrum for Nathan Jones. If Mannion starts the Season really well what does he do? Does he drop Mannion?

I doubt Arsenal are loaning him to us unless he’s a guaranteed starter. A bit like what Chelsea insisted on with Conor Gallagher.

Just went through his cv and he does look promising. Still would go with Mannion though until he has a bad one so I’m expecting to see this kid in the second half at Wigan.

Still need that creative player that Dicky correctly identifies as a priority. There is a kid at West Ham who they got from Northern Ireland last year I can’t recall his name Moore something who is sitting in the reserves and a pal of mine reckons he is a season away from being Liam Brady. Maybe worth a enquiry?

I would expect him to be first choice. I don’t think Arsenal would let us have him if he wasn’t. But Mannion will start the season between the posts. Arsenal regard him highly as they have just given him a new four year deal.
Be interesting to see if you are right. Could make or break the fella. Looks good in the video but as you know we’ve all seen great videos of some utter ponies over the years

None of us know what promises were made to NJ with regard to financial backing. Fine to speculate but we don't know. Maybe he was lied to maybe not, none of us were privy to the discussions. But he's made it public knowledge that he wanted a full squad in place by the end of June, he wanted two new goalies, he didn't want loanees, he wants to sign Potts, Hylton and others although we are covered in their positions. You get the feeling that not everyone is pulling in the same direction, and for my money he's going the wrong way about pressuring the owners. Curbs always worked on a tight budget and a small squad and just "Got on with it" to use his own saying. It's not NJ's fault he inherited poor players who are difficult to shift but it's starting to look like it will take another summer get rid of them all.

Nathan Jones wouldn’t have joined a piss pot L1 club without cast iron guarantees.
