Behave KO, i meant decent half a season He is on par with Aguero (who has missed quite a few games), and a whole two goals above the legendary Charlie Austin (of the swash buckling QPR). All i am saying is he has not exactly torn the league apart yet and still has a way to go
Ultimately he probably won't leave Barca but if he choose to, you'd probably say there are only 5-6 realistic destinations and we'd be in there somewhere. City and PSG clearly don't give a **** about FFP though so could well be one of those (though what a waste Messi in the French league would be!!)
Messi has gotten the crap kicked out of him nonetheless in Spain. Never stopped maradona, he got kicked up and down the pitch in most games. So, Messi can hack the CL and La Liga, and in fact is record goal scorer in both, but he wouldn't hack the physicality of the PL? besides I think you'll find Messi is a lot stronger than you realise plus he has a low centre of gravity, you'd do well to even get shoulder to shoulder with him so most resort to kicking him. I think he'd do just fine in the PL. Sicknote has never been the same since returning from that injury. He's not half the player he was then Besides La Liga is not that weak, it's just that the top 2 sides are so much more wealthier than the rest, look at the EL winners only 3 English winners since 1984. Goes to show that English sides outside of the top few teams are not so great compared to European counterparts. Even though there is plenty more money in the PL, that says tehnique > physicality in general.
They didn't do it properly then, when I was playing they didn't get back up and if they did they rarely came back for seconds.
As well as Cuadrado, lot of talk about us signing Douglas Costa now as well. Anyone know much about him??
The Express reckons our bid for Cuadrado has been accepted (£23m), which is odd since his manager came out only yesterday saying they weren't gonna sell, and £23m is £2m under his buy out clause, yet the Express says we are now agreeing terms? odd....
I find the signing a little odd anyway. We're quite well covered in wide areas and it's quite a lot of money for someone who is probably going to need adjustment time as well. Only reasoning I can see is if someone is waiting in the wings to take Salah or Schurrle and Jose thinks this move strengthens the squad.
Lot of rumours about possible players to join us in the summer - From the Continent Koke (44m) - Should be great addition. 28M would be good. But don't think will be cheap. Doug Costa (20m) - Should be good addition Pogba (70m) - We can break the bank Hummels (25m +) - should be great addition From PL Victor or Morgan of Saints (20m) Ward-Prowse needs to improve his finishing. Would be good additon And 2 Ex-Saints Theo - I would go ~6M + Cech, But Willian is pretty similar to him. Bale (75m release clause??) - not sure about this..
When Hummels leaves it will be for United Pogba 70m Has the Di Maria lesson not beeen learned. Let him come to the PL and do it and then if he does call it 70m. 45m max the guy is worth, Italy's also ran teams would be relegated from the championship let alone the PL.
I am not biased, but you cannot call Theo Chalk.. Both Ws have little composure. Willian was never played through the middle for us or in an advanced position, unlike Theo. Have you seen the defensive discipline of Willian?
Yes, but not from Walcott. I'm not saying one is better, just that they play different games. Walcott is about running off the shoulder of the last defender and scoring, Willian is a worker who gets back and fills in spaces. Has ability going forward, but that's not what I see very often.
The Bale 75 million release clause has to be the most ridiculously bad piece of transfer rumour journalism I've seen in a while. Why would Madrid spend 86 million on Bale and set his release at 75 million? Spurs should have just taken him straight back and pocketed a tidy 11 mill profit!! Where do these 'reporters' get this nonsense from?? Pogba at anywhere near 70 m is bloody ridiculous too. The guy looks a talent but has done nothing yet of any real note. Some promising names in there but I expect 95% of it is bollox.
Top of the heap is Varane leaving Real for less than 30m But I would be thrilled to get any of these players for reasonable price.
Agree, Willian is a team player with boundless energy who gets back and defends when needed and the other ones Walcott.
Partially agree. They are different players because of attitude. Walcott is no Filipo or Goal post, to warrant the name 'off shoulder player'. Both their starting positions are same and G/A contribution is comparable. But work ethic - no contest.
