Further, the best deep lying play makers of the last few years....Pirlo, Scholes, Xavi, Modric etc. All have something in common, none of them can tackle particularly well. Alonso is probably the only top class one I can think of that truly can do both and even then he had a holding mid next to him for Spain and large periods at Real.

Criticism of Fabs defensive game is short sighted IMO.

my point is with JT getting another year Matic will continue to play false CB.
Matic needs assistance now and then.

I dont want to restrain Fab. at the sametime he needs to protect Cahill & Matic to some extent.

also need a good backup for Matic. i would like youth promo, but not going to happen.

There goes Bamford's proper top flight chance.
He is poor last few games when it matters the most.
I don't have any hope for Boro in the playoffs. Worse Mick will take Ipswich up.

  7. Will you guys be making a cheeky bid for Sterling? I think you should, and I think you'd get him, too.

If by the looks of it he's available we should be doing everything we can to get him IMO.

Is Sterling just another over rated Englishmen though? He looks brilliant and almost unplayable in spells but doesn't score nearly enough and has large periods of so so form. For a reported 50 million, that's a lot of question marks.

Liverpool fans could probably provide a better opinion, but would he have the physicality and defensive work rate to play in a Jose side?

  10. Sterling has been an outstanding player in a very average team. With the amount of possession that Chelsea have in most matches, I think he'd be in hog-heaven!

Not too sure about Sterling but we should make a mega purchase before FFP is dismantled, the new Sky deal kicks in and fees/wages go up again

What's the deal with Falcao? He's not out of contract is he so he'll be going on loan again, right? The positive thing is he's talking to a number of clubs (apparently), just we're one of them. There is absolutely no way i want him here.

TBH, wouldn't mind Falcao for a cut price deal of 10M pounds or with a reasonable wages loan.

Am more worried with Costa's rumors. Costa is very similar to Tevez in professional & personal life.
    I hope he doesn't pull a Tevez.

Also - why nobody sees Boaz Myhill as a good replacement for Cech?
He is an unbelievable keeper and doesn't have any blunders in him.
He is understudy to Ben, who is inferior to Boaz IMHO!! Surely we should be able to tempt Boaz away!

Haha after everything you lot been saying about Falcao this season, he has now become amazing to you again <laugh>

  17. Indeed. I'd go as far as to suggest that Falcao is in the same class as Soldado.

He's not amazing or the player he used to be, as I told you lot when he first went to United and you were all creaming yourselves over him. He would be a decent signing for 10m though.
