    You'd have to think so.

Willian's work permit hearing today isn't it?

This is getting beyond ridiculous. What we need is a 25 goal a season striker not YET another ****ing winger/attacking midfielder. Who the hell is doing the planning at the club?

    All the newbies will play.....

    Cech in goal,
    Luiz as an attacking defender
9 attacking (and diminutive) midfielders/wingers, with another 6 on the bench.

    Simples

I'd be more interested in Jackson Martinez from Porto. Would fit us well

NOS reports that Ajax have tried to persuade Chelsea to let them loan Van Ginkel this season. However Chelsea declined the offers from Ajax, the club from Amsterdam sees in Van Ginkel a possible replacement for Eriksen who seems to be on his way to Tottenham.

Gourlay has said yesterday that we are still looking into strengthening, if the right deal comes along. Fully expecting late drama

Morning papers claim Torres is up for sale!!!! I hope, give Lukaku more time to shine.

West Brom have had a loan bid for Lukaku turned down by Jose Mourinho. Yay

Nathaniel Chalobah has signed a new 5-year contract. Delighted

United have had a 12m euros offer for De Rossi turned down by Roma, according to reports. Dont see Roma letting another go, they already lost Lamela, Osvaldo, Stekelenburg and Marquinhos

And Sky Sources say the 3.5m deal for Christian Atsu is nearly complete, but he is going straight to Vitesse for a season long loan (to join Cuevas, Piazon, Kakuta, Van Aanholt) May as well call them Vitesse Chelsea

    Welcome Christian Atsu.

A left sided attacking midfield player.....just what we needed.
Off on loan the Chelsea B in Holland.

Confirmed this afternoon by Dutch media, he is on a season loan to Vitesse Arnhem, following Piazon and Cuevas this summer. Patrick van Aanholt and Gael Kakuta stayed at the club for an extended loan period.

    Ozil to Arsenal done apparently.

Of true, that's the signing of the summer for sure.

For all the praise Levy was getting, he's sold their best player and indirectly funded Ozil's move to their rivals for 4th place by doing so. All whilst earning a profit whilst the fans proclaim him to be a genius. The guy is the greatest spin doctor I've come across.

I'd be worried if I was a Spud now. For all the signings they've made they have still lost their only really world class player and have helped Arsenal capture a really really fine player. Have to say Arsenal probably need strengthening in other areas than attacking mid but Ozil is a fine player. As you say, signing of the summer (albeit heavilly priced), probably Willian next best.

I rate Paulinho and Lamela but neither are a patch on Ozil and the other signings wouldn't get into a top 4 side.

Ozil would blow every single Spurs signing out the water and get the fans back on side. Arsenal may have left it too late to challenge this season but they are definitely capable of top 3.

Cazorla has been playing wide anyway, with Ramsay, Wilshere and Rosicky in the central positions. It may come a time that even Ozil plays wide, along with Cazorla.

Arsenal still need another centre back and another striker in my opinion.

And we are very quiet for once, which could mean anything. Personally I would still be having a new central midfielder, a new centre back and a new striker, with the latter the most important. Perhaps Chaolbah and Kalas are going to get their chances.

if they don't sign a defensive player then they still don't worry me. Ozil is world class and a great addition for any side but let's not get carried away, they're still poor at the back.

What do we think about Moses to Liverpool?

Good for the lad as obviously wasn't going to get much of a chance this year but don't like to strengthen them. Looks like we've already done that with Sturridge!!

Also, why let Ba go to Arsenal? No point loaning to rivals at all.

The good thing about Moses, is he can't play against us. With hindsight we should have loaned Sturridge to Liverpool in January, don't think Jose would have left him go, he knows where the net is.

I don't see Liverpool winning the league, so Moses playing for them only helps us when Liverpool attempt to take points off our rivals.

They won't win the league but it's not inconcievable that they have a better season then predicted and we have a worse and before you know it, we are in a top 4 battle with them. Would have preferred him going to West Brom.
