To be fair though, with Rooney he wasn't at the confeds and hasn't been involved in pre season at United so the chance for him to drop in some sound bites for the baiting press (whether that be a declaration that he wants to stay or otherwise) has been less than Suarez. I can see why Suarez wants to leave but what a kick in the nuts for the fans that stood by him. Kind of amazes me that a club like Arsenal who to be fair are a pretty disciplined and well run ship would want to get involved in this kind of 'character'.
