So it's gone from 38m to 30m in matter of hours....?
Nope. Original quotes from Shaktar guy said they think he's worth around 28 now but by summer if he keeps playing as well it could be the 38. All the journos just picked up on the higher figure.

So 30 sounds like the price they really wanted.

Next offer should be 28 but we'll go down to 15.....or offer to pay the 30 and then ask the player to accept 4k a week....

If Swansea want Allen then the following should apply

Swansea paid £5 million for Shelvey and sold for £12 million so 140% profit
We paid £15 million for Allen, so should sell him at the same profit making that £36 million please Swansea

After all when we got him he was just the Welsh Xavi
We have worked on him and now he is the Welsh Pirlo as well

The extra hair he's grown whilst with us is worth an extra 10 million alone <ok>

All joking aside, shouldn't be looking to move him on. He's a god squad option, young and works hard, good pressing and if he can add goals to his game (even 5 a season) offers more than most of rest of our midfield.

Prior to Klopp if Swansea had come in without hesitation I would've said sell for a reasonable price as he [HASHTAG]#didnotexist[/HASHTAG]

Now I think we need to keep him. He's had a mini resurgence under Kloppo and the last couple of games he's played have been probably his best in the shirt with him chipping in goals as well. Don't get me wrong he's far from good enough ultimately, but for now he's a good cups and rotation option, especially if Klopp continues getting a tune out of him.

We need a squad as well. Everyone moans that we don't have decent depth but want to get rid of all the fringe players and end up with a squad of 20 players.... And then moan when we get 5 injuries and have no bench.

Our ur depth can't be full of top class players but players who can seamlessly come into the squad and do a job.

Hate to, but using united in 90s and 2000 as an example. Played like Oshea, Brown weren't great but they were squad players and could come in and play 10-15 games a season and not look totally out of place.

Allen is never going to win games on his own, but I'd trust him coming into the team for 5 games if we get an injury compared to some others.

Fair point. Under Klopp he does look like he can plug the dyke if necessary. Never gonna be spectacular but it's good to have those utility players. He's still 25 as well so hopefully will mature into a more solid and intelligent player with more experience. Could be what's happening now. I also wonder if Rodgers was having an adverse effect on him with them both coming from Swansea.

The other thing with Allen is his image assault where he's using the long hair and beard to manipulate fans into changing their attitude towards him, especially because before he looked like a pointy faced little prick

I like Astro (and Jimmy), they can give it and take it with good humour and never get offensive or personal <ok>

They can also make some good points when they want to.

Dont know about that, I think both take themselves far too seriously. As do a few on here after a United spanking it seems  But I agree they never resort to personal insults.
