I have read in this thread that people want to see a top marquee strikers but realistically who would that be? We see names like Vietto, Lacazette and Tevez but we know they are unlikely. So with that in mind who would we be happy with signing are a 'marquee' striker?
if he keeps failing to attract decent players yes.
we had cl football to offer at one point and look what ****e we got ffs!
This is the thing - this season, and Rodgers in particular has divided the fanbase. I think mores o than when Hodgson was in charge.
Hope Rodgers can turn it around.

I actually think Falcao would be a very good player with the pace we have around him. I would be very happy with him.Jeez it's hard to say.
At the top end there's several actually available this summer martinez, Higuin, benzema and Tevez are all reputably available.
Then theres rvp and falcao and similar moving around.
Then there's the dzeKos out there to.
The reason Lacazette and vietto are favoured is I think they are young and should be hungry.
All in all any of the above including Utd cast offs would improve us by miles.
There is a reason why benteke is prob looked at as a guy who will be available but the top 4 here won't be in for him particularly.
God knows who is our link tbh

I agree although it's a gamble I'd happily take given our current situation. Beggars can't be choosers and we certainly are beggars right now.Life wouldn't be worth living if we got him and flopped!
If anyone wants to know why I hate it when LFC shop from the domestic market, here's why:
Over the past 5 years, we have spent;
£50m to Soton
£35m to Newcastle
£26m to Sunderland
£20m to Villa
£15m to Swansea
£8m to Blackpool
That's £152m spent on mid table players at British mid table clubs.

I agree although it's a gamble I'd happily take given our current situation. Beggars can't be choosers and we certainly are beggars right now.
That's a very good point. What's their ages? Tevez is 31 not sure about falcao.I'd rather go all out for Tevez. If we can get Falcao then we can get Tevez IMO
Saints (£50m); Lovren, Lallana & Lambert
Newcastle (£35m); Carroll
Sunderland (£26m); Henderson & Migs
Villa (£20m); Downing
Swansea (£15m); Allen
Blackpool (£8m); Adam
The Sunderland part isn't bad![]()
That's the worry with Tevez.well tevez is imponderable. unitl its tried we cannot tell if he would be interested or not. if he were interested how long would it be for. what would we get out of him and so forth and so on.
the basic evidence of the CL this year sas his work rates is as good as ever. the prior evidence of his wife's wishes would be against england in general
As a one year deal? I would be saying hell yes. at 31 he's likely only to want a short term move anyway... he will be 32 next feb. maybe 2 years max.
That's the worry with Tevez.
Falcoa only struggled because his return from a serious injury was treated wrong. He basically needs to start that come back again with a better medical time in charge.I actually think Falcao would be a very good player with the pace we have around him. I would be very happy with him.
This is another Metro story that I am 100% sure will happen. Welcome Zlatan and Ezquiel! YNWA!
