Fallacy. When you're near the top of the league other top clubs won't sell to rivals so midtable is the best you can do.

You prefer buying from lower leagues instead?

Adam Lallana is pleased Liverpool have managed to bring in James Milner, saying the midfielder has "shown ambition" by choosing to move to Anfield.

“James Milner, he’s a fantastic player," said Lallana. "He’s played his whole career in different positions.

"He’s won so many caps, won titles and trophies with Manchester City and it’s great for Liverpool to sign someone like him.

"James is going to be a vital addition to the squad. He’s a complete role model.

“He’s got unbelievable ability and sometimes people don’t appreciate that in the way they should. Left foot, right foot, got a goal in his locker and always fit. He’s the perfect player.

“It’s a big statement that he chose to come to Liverpool, shows that he’s got ambition. He could have easily stayed at City, but he chose us.

he could mean in the sense how come he isnt taking any responsibility for anything and getting rid of those around him to make out they was the problem not him.
