I didnt want Rodgers to stay as the last two games looked like he'd lost the players to me. I had suspicions with some other games but this confirmed it for me

Anyway, if he's staying what can you do? Lets hope he proves people wrong

If Rodgers had lost the squad I don't think he'd have kept his job unless the main players undermining him are leaving (Gerrard/Johnson?)

Sterling (obvious dispute), Can (played at full back), Manquillo (getting froze out), Sakho (froze out until desperate), Ming (being told he was dropped until further notice, reinstated when desperate), Lambert (no game time even when goals are short), Borini (froze out), Lovren (not trusted with a run of games), there are many players in a dressing room.

DM and Holding Mid are two completely different roles. Alonso was ok defensively but he was so good at LFC because he had protection from Mascherano. Matic is a DM first and foremost - he's just an excellent allround midfielder.

Can's natural instinct is to go forward. We need someone more disciplined in the DM role. Can alongside a DM would be immense though.

i know tobes will take this as a dig lol, but what the feck did he expect going to everton? obviously quite happy to take the wages they was offering though wasn't he!!

unless its just agent talk to see who would be interested in his services.
