I'll take that with a pinch of salt as think it probably a reference to lots of fans thought Slot shouldn't be selecting him more than anything substansive ..

Lots more links with Diomande from RBL. Silly money for 19 year old but watching clips of him can’t help but see huge similarities with semenyo. Plays mainly in the right and is right footed so likes to go down the line best his man and deliver (something Isak was missing last year). But the amount of goals he also scored with his left foot from cutting in or going through and finishing with his left is very impressive. Semenyo has that same ability and way they run with the ball is very similar.
Always a bonus if can finish in both feet not only got scenarios where it’s on the left but also keeps defenders guessing. It’s what made Jota such a good finisher in that he was just as lethal with both feet.

Can’t see it happening. Would be against it, him and senesi would be 2 solid squad options in a free. But this is his last chance at a big contract and I’d imagine he’ll want to make sure his next couple years he’s playing as first choice which wouldn’t get here.
I'd imagine he'd fancy his chances of playing on that right hand side of joining right now. Really depends whether we sign someone else for that position.

I like Gakpo as he can influence a game now and then but he’s become super fukin predictable and that’s shown in his game last season so yeh he can go
