I find it really hard to dislike people. I can hate what people do without hating them as a person. Kane, however, tested that to the limit. When Kane not only 'stole' a teammate's goal which I don't think has ever been done before, but swore on his daughter's life that it was his, I knew the kind of person he was. This goes beyond separating the man from the action. It was a despicable thing to do just to claim a goal and speaks to his general character. I don't hate him. I don't hate anybody. I just wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.So you wouldn't take the piss if Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, etc signed him? Sure mate
He couldn't be less of a Liverpool type player, terrible for for us. Add to that that he's a **** too.
Not that he's signing for Liverpool anyway.

I think that very often we say 'oh I hate that" or "I hate spinach ... waiting in queues ...... getting up early" (or whatever) but we don't really mean hate, at least I don't, even though I may say it. The same with 'love'.

Regards to Kane and having not watched him recently but when he was playing for spurs he had a tendency to lean into opposition players who would jump up in aerial balls.
Always felt there was a potential risk of injury and particularly it was a Kane dirty trick

Not aversed to "making a back/tipping" either. 30 years ago he would have got his legs broken for that before he broke someones neck or back.

Yeah this is what I was trying to describe. Clearly not challenging for the ball in air but aiming to knock player off or worse.
Dangerous play but never seen it called out . Haven't noticed any player do it the same way Kane used to do. Diaz and Mane ? Gonna have to check this out because it's quite dangerous and needs picked up by refs
I've never seen Diaz or Mané do it either. Kane was (maybe still is) quite deliberate in that you'd see him look at the player's movement and then stop and bend over in front of them so they'd tip over. Never once called for it.
He does more. He backs in while he is bending over so he creates even more of a tipping action.
Diaz has certainly jumped in to people and as a short arse he has certainly got the ability to tip any player once he does that.
There was one game this season where he certainly was doing it 2 or 3 times but I can't recall now which it was
We're talking about making a back. I don't think Diaz has done that. He's certainly getting more aggressive and tackling harder but I've not seen him trying to tip anyone.

and i have seen both Diaz and Mane do that, and called them out for it . though never seen either do the full back into bend over tip
Roger whose post you've quoted there has already clarified that he was trying to describe making a back when he said that. Leaning in happens all the time. Lots of players do it. Making a back, not so much.
Seems it was picked up on and Kane has perfected it.

Newcastle fan (just popped in to get my daily Isak news). I think most clubs have a player or two who do something like this (for us it's Joelinton who is a proper filthy player - though I love him I'm not going to deny he takes it too far and needs to reign it in a bit).
I think Kane does it more often, it's pretty expected he'll do it, whereas others it's more of an occasional event. It's like diving. All clubs have players that do it but there's some in the league who you're just expecting it of at every opportunity.
As for his skills I honestly think Kane would get a spot at any EPL team. He's doing well at Bayern and they'd be a good shout to win our league this season (no slight meant on Liverpool as you deserve to win it and can only beat who you're up against but I think your team of 4-5 years ago would wipe the floor with your current team).
Regarding Isak, so many teams in for him, if you sell him you'll sell him for a huge fee and it most likely won't be us (unless FSG change their buying model).
Not watching Bayern, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are better than us. We had an unbelievable start to the season driven by inertia... I think our team is good and points tally we have would be challenging for title most years (it's not our fault no one else has a similar tally this year).
But no. We're nowhere near as good as several of the teams that Klopp managed, or several of the teams Pep guided for City... and I'm sure there's several teams on the continent who would probably do better than we've done... I'm also not going to lie, we've had a couple of results go in our favour that probably shouldn't have. Slot has done well for zero additions to the first team of an aging squad. No slight on him... just the nature of our squad right now.
I have no doubt Kane would improve our squad, I just doubt the wisdom of large cash outlet on another aging player when half our squad are days away from needing a zimmerframe already. With so many positions needing refilling and not getting money from several of our best outgoing players- we're going to have to be very smart and careful with our spending and look for underappreciated gems rather than household names.
That means we're almost certainly not going to get Isak or Kane.
