I wouldn't sign him, but to suggest at this moment he's not better than what we've got is ludicrous. He knows the little ball thingy is supposed to go in the big net thingy that's held up by the posts, so he's got a much better understanding of what to do than darwin. He's fit 90% of the time so a much better option the jota. He's just generally better to be honest.
Why? Ahhhh, scouse ****ers, signing a proven goal scorer with multiple golden boots, ****ing idiots. That will never work. Kane can be a bit of a ****, but as player he's top notch. He seems liked in the dressing room.
I think a lot of that is fair. My opinion on Darwin is that he's wasted as a striker and should be played out wide (where he actually does better, but we rarely use him there) there are a lot of players who are better than Darwin as a striker (and I don't mean that as an insult to Darwin) I agree Kane is probably better than Jota- although with Jota have to consider the Salah-factor. For obvious reasons, we play a lot of attacks down the right so Jota might not have as many opportunities as Kane. If Salah left we would have to diversify our attacks more and Jota might be getting a few more goals.
So you wouldn't take the piss if Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, etc signed him? Sure mate He couldn't be less of a Liverpool type player, terrible for for us. Add to that that he's a **** too.
He'd strengthen all those teams apart from city, you'd try to take the piss but when he scored his 30th of the season you'd look a dickhead
Jotas injury record holds him back, exactly how could he could be over a full season we will never know. Maybe as the season wore on he'd get better and better, more in tune with the team and break every record going, but he plays five games then is out for 3 months. He's looked absolutely shot the last games
You've lost me there. I don't recall anybody taking the piss out of spurs for having kane upfront. I'm fairly sure everyone knew that without him they'd be in the ****. But obviously they where wrong, look at them fighting for top four this season, oh wait.
Mate, my last comment was clearly talking the piss. Can't be arsed to argue over something that is totally pointless and will never realistically happen anyway. I get it, you think he's the best thing since spiced bread. I don't and I believe he's be an awful fit (not too mention his age, wages and need to be the verge of attention)
@Zanjinho when he said he’d rather have balotelli borini or lambert all of which are very poor players.
Can't say I'm too bothered about what rivals say, tbh. I'm not keen on Kane as a person, and I tend to agree he doesn't fit our system, but if Slot thought he could use him I'd accept it. There's no doubt he's one of the best goalscorers of his generation. Having said that, when I saw the rumour I just thought it was bollocks anyway, so I'm not expecting to have to come to terms with it.
He’s exactly what United and Arsenal and Chelsea need. He walks into every single one of those clubs and makes their first 11 superior. United should have gone all out to sign him when was leaving spurs instead of overpaying for hojlund
Just to add there isn’t any chance we are signing him btw. Why the hell would he leave Germany where he’s being paid brilliantly, banging in goals and about to win trophies. He’ll be there for another year or two and either go back to spurs or just retire out there with a few more medals.
He never said kane was a bad player. He just stated a personal preference for rubbish. Obviously I'd say it differently in thst I'd want a player like firmino or a young mane in rather than an old slow kane to go with an old slow salah. Look, it's really down to what kind of goals we score and we really don't create many for a box striker. Sure kane might hit a few passes and watch the results but we need 3 fast breakers if that's how we are going to continue.
I thought we where having quite a nice discussion about a nigh on impossible hypothetical situation rather than an argument. Kills a bit of time in the monotonous international break.
Borini a poor player? But Rogers told us he was the best physical player he's ever seen, and all of Anfield would enjoy watching him play.
