imo we have really missed the boat on lavia over the fee.
the player is now Rumoured to be unsettled but Southampton have major wages off the books and sitting on about 60mil in cash or at least promises of cash and are going to be looking at us and other clubs and hoping for a major budding war in the last couple of weeks.
if I were them knowing lfc have absolutely no other target I would reject every offer we make up to and including 50mil straight cash l.
they need to get this to the last day and see who blinks.

can't see it myself as i'm sure it would have been reported .My worry is if we do agree a fee we will then have a long drawn out process to agree payment structure .
if the JWP deal goes thru it will be over £70

Or they’ve made 30m on a player that has been massively out of form for 2 years and was surplus to requirements. Good deal for them.

£30m for Maguire is fantastic in a world where Leeds are quibbling about £15m Nat Phillips. West Ham must be trying to blow the Rice money.
