we have to be realistic. He’s not a big name, marketable or can offer much on the pitch. He’s 33 and regressing.

gerrard wants him. the end.

nobody else cares.

the Saudis don't care. 700k per week x 3 years = 109,200,000.

Jordan rainbow laces can bloody well take a giant pay cut to ge tout of his contract.

40mil.

if we get 40mil then he still gets 443,000 a week.

so **** him and his lack of morals. Lets take every penny of the blood money.

Same for Fabinho. He's wanted by the main arm of thier investment company. 60mil minimum.

Totally agree on those valuations
If we are selling we need to bring in as much as we can
Not because of the whole debate over sports washing
I just do not like the way this is all being done
Although tbh I hope we don’t sell

Very mixed emotions atm

I've seen it suggested that Henderson buys out the remainder of his contract - approximately £10m - and he gets to go without us having to take the tainted money. Probably not even a reality but that would work for me.

There are also lots of reports surfacing about the Saudi clubs getting into trouble for not paying wages, transfer bans etc. Would be hilarious if the players going there for big money ended up with none at all or a fraction of what they were promised.

They’ll get paid. Just for perspective, I read somewhere that Saudi Aramco make £2b profit (might have been $ but splitting hairs) every single day. So that’s 2,000 million of profit per day that can be repurposed.

If they are allowed to, they will buy football. If it is challenged legally, they will tie up the governing bodies in court until they are bankrupt.

FIFA and UEFA need to wake up but are probably too busy counting their bribes. Some could argue that we won’t even notice the difference!

By way of protest, you have to admire Rory McIlroy’s comments this week that ‘he’d rather retire than play for LIV’. We will need some of that in football if we are to keep it out of their hands - but as football in general is consumed by its own greed, I fear that we are already past that point.

Well it's the richest place on earth so you'd imagine the players would get paid yet there are players not getting paid so go figure. FIFPRO is advising it's union members not to go there as there were 50 cases last year of players taking action over non payment.

Spurs' Son has spoken out about not going there so there is at least one.

Saudi Aramco made $161bn profit last year or $440m a day
