and yet
Dalglish
Rodgers
Klopp

disagree and 2 of them thought the same as you until they recognised the work he does that goes unnoticed by so many and made him a mainstay of their team.

you can argue his contribution previously but there is no dispute that he’s been awful for the past year

This is what i meant by losing both the captain and the vice captain in the same window, both arguably our most disciplined players, what does that do to the standards in the dressing room and on the training ground, that could be a problem if hendo does go this window imo

agreed. Their influence was critical for us last season. When the chips were down, they helped us get standards back …. Oh wait …. :bandit::bandit:

well considering how poor all the senior players were its difficult to pick the poorer members and i'm still struggling to work out why he spent so much of the season playing almost as a RW when the weakest part of his game is being right up top .
Because Trent kept drifting inside and someone had to go on overlap with Mo.

I am not a great fan of stats because i think they can be used to mislead people but i would take a guess that in Hendersons case you have won more points with him than without him.
This is why i don't trust stats though, you could probably say the same about any "ever present" in a good team. The reason i use this stat for Hendo is because i feel he has been and still is the drive for your team (could probably say the same for players in other teams who don't get the appreciation they deserve from some).
People like you idolise a player who (given time and space) can pick a perfect pass but you miss the players that keep the team moving and in possession.

I would assume VvD would be captain (I'm assuming he is going to be VC anyway)
Robertson as Vice?

The only others in the running would be Salah, Trent or Alisson.

Interesting fact: Henderson is the 4th longest serving club cpt btw
Points if you can name the those above him
Bonus points if you can name the only non British or Irish club captain

I would go for Hughs and Gerrard, can't think of a third because you seem to change captains on an almost tearly basis <laugh>

All you have to do is literally watch him play and you’ll see he has been a liability. It’s actually unbelievable that fans / media protect him so much. He offered nothing in terms of attacking output or defensive stability last year, which is why everyone can only talk about his influence off the pitch - and again, where was this so called influence when we were struggling last season?

The media have built him up to be some sort of god when in reality, he is the luckiest footballer to ever played.

Model professional, but I hope he is sold this summer.

Unfortunately, I think this all PR spin from his camp. Possibly to make him look good that he will turn down these offers so he can be loyal to the club. Or to get another contract. Not surprised it’s happening when his position is now under threat

He has used the same tactics in the past to strong arm the club before, so he will do it again.

If it to force a contract, then I hope we finally learnt out lessons and we stay strong.

same as golf. a lot of very average or retiring golfers extra given vast sums by liv and Greg Norman to destroy to pga.

golf is now a dead sport.

football needs to get about t100 **** players over there then once thr 4 clubs are full or crap ban the lot of them from their national sides and act like they are dead.

Jordan Henderson has two years left on his contract, no way he can leave on the cheap. The only option for him, if he is desperate on leaving is to buy out the remaining of his contract.
