Not sure I can see him going. But then at same time, with position under threat, and at his age never going to get that kind of money again, 2/3 years at 700k sets him up for life.

I can see why he'd potentially move clubs, just don't see him going to Saudi. But then, I really didn't think Gerrard would either.

he's only made 160k a week for 7 or 8 years.
you lot keep telling me you could just about get by on that and players shouldn't be greedy
and i'm still struggling to think why Hendo was considered a good option for that role
well considering i never earned the national average wage in my 33 years of employment i'm pretty sure i could just about scrape by on that .

Would be a shame to lose Fab. Had a poor year last year. Difficult one. Never going to get a better offer for him, but he’s also the only type of player we have in that role so unless can replace with like for like. Was hoping with a bit more rotation he’d be back to his best tis year but if his legs are going then take the money and reinvest.
Not seen a transfer value for Hendo. I guess anywhere above 25m would be decent given his age

It would be a shame but if we’re being ruthless, then it is time to sell. £40m is ridiculous! But as you say, we really need to get quality replacements in. Lavia alone isn’t enough IMO

Just seen 1 bit on the fee for henderson. They wanted him on a free but lfc want 10m.

Problem you have is then you’ve lost a lot of first team players in one go. Yes maybe not the best players but how long to new players take to click into the team? Effectively asking Szobo Lavia? Mac allister to form a completely new midfield 3 at a new club from day 1. While also losing experienced players in Keita ox Milner
Would be a very young inexperienced midfielder squad if we do lose both.
