Love that with all this silly money going around the Saudis aren’t prepared to pay a large amount for Hendo
you can argue his contribution previously but there is no dispute that he’s been awful for the past year
agreed. Their influence was critical for us last season. When the chips were down, they helped us get standards back …. Oh wait ….
I am not a great fan of stats because i think they can be used to mislead people but i would take a guess that in Hendersons case you have won more points with him than without him. This is why i don't trust stats though, you could probably say the same about any "ever present" in a good team. The reason i use this stat for Hendo is because i feel he has been and still is the drive for your team (could probably say the same for players in other teams who don't get the appreciation they deserve from some). People like you idolise a player who (given time and space) can pick a perfect pass but you miss the players that keep the team moving and in possession.
I would assume VvD would be captain (I'm assuming he is going to be VC anyway) Robertson as Vice? The only others in the running would be Salah, Trent or Alisson. Interesting fact: Henderson is the 4th longest serving club cpt btw Points if you can name the those above him Bonus points if you can name the only non British or Irish club captain
I would go for Hughs and Gerrard, can't think of a third because you seem to change captains on an almost tearly basis
All you have to do is literally watch him play and you’ll see he has been a liability. It’s actually unbelievable that fans / media protect him so much. He offered nothing in terms of attacking output or defensive stability last year, which is why everyone can only talk about his influence off the pitch - and again, where was this so called influence when we were struggling last season? The media have built him up to be some sort of god when in reality, he is the luckiest footballer to ever played. Model professional, but I hope he is sold this summer.
Unfortunately, I think this all PR spin from his camp. Possibly to make him look good that he will turn down these offers so he can be loyal to the club. Or to get another contract. Not surprised it’s happening when his position is now under threat He has used the same tactics in the past to strong arm the club before, so he will do it again. If it to force a contract, then I hope we finally learnt out lessons and we stay strong.
This was taken from last year so needs updating Win rates of current #LFC squad 59 Hendo 60 Bobby 62 Milner 65 Jota, Salah, Thiago, Matip 66 Gomez, Mane, Fab 68 Robbo, Ox 69 Ali, Trent 71 VVD 74 Keita Duels contested p/90 last season: LFC midfielders... 11.9 Bajcetic (small sample klaxon) 10.7 Thiago 10.6 Milner 9.4 Jones 8.1 Elliott 7.7 Fabinho 5.0 Henderson Minutes per press leading to goal or shot from 2022 : 101 DIAZ 136 Fabinho 148 Keita 165 Jones 168 Thiago ... 346 Jota 418 Henderson 527 Milner Possession Wins from pressing p90 from 2022 7.0 Keita 6.7 DIAZ 6.4 Thiago, Ox 6.0 Firmino 5.9 Fabinho ... 4.1 Salah, Mane 4.0 Henderson 3.9 Origi ———— so the stats and the eye test show that Hendo has been abysmal.
irrespective Henderson rainbow laces, love everyone armbands and waffle. goes and takes the blood money. zero respect for that. zero.
same as golf. a lot of very average or retiring golfers extra given vast sums by liv and Greg Norman to destroy to pga. golf is now a dead sport. football needs to get about t100 **** players over there then once thr 4 clubs are full or crap ban the lot of them from their national sides and act like they are dead.
Jordan Henderson has two years left on his contract, no way he can leave on the cheap. The only option for him, if he is desperate on leaving is to buy out the remaining of his contract.
