Not a great hit rate. says something that 9 of those are either United or chelsea buys, and shows how poor their recruitment has been for money spent.

Havertz - no but scored winner in CL final
kepa - alright but overpaid
Pepe - no
Sancho - no
vvd - yea
Lukaku - no
Maguire - no
Antony - no but not even full season yet
pogba - no
Lukaku again - no
Grealish - overpaid but doing alright at City this year
Fernandez - looks decent. Early days not even full season yet.
Mydrych (sp) should be included as was £85m approx but too early to say really.

If we look at it this way

Cheslea max line up:

Kepa (70)
Fofana (75) Koulibaly (35) Cucurella (70)
James (0) Fernandez (105) joorginho (55) Chilwell (50)
Havertz (75) Lukaku (105) Mduryk (70)

not i've been kind in putting james in as clearly thier best option there but i've had to pleave out pulisic at 60 odd, wermer at 55, kovacic at 40, sterling at 50 odd, and various others amounting to baout 300mil

theres about £710 mil in the 11 and the bench would easy bring it to a billion.

Aside from that lucky run in the CL you've have to call this self harm of the worst type.

Man Utd max line up
De gea (20)
Wan bisskaa (50) Maguire (85) Martinez (55) Sahw (35)
Casemiro (60) Pogba (90)
Anthony (81) fernandes (60) Sancho (75)
Lukaku (75)

I am leaving the likes of lindeloff, varane, mkhitaryan, matic, fred, van beek, martial, bailly all out here.

This adds up to 686million wasted.

By contrast arsenal:

Ramsdale (25)
White (50) saliba (25) Gabriel (20) zinchenko (30)
Partey (45) xhaka (40)
Saka (0) Odengaard (35) Martinelli (5)
Jesus (50)

this team is (currently) top of the prem. 325mil spend, plus a lot of mistakes over the years but still

Liverpool cannot boast to be very smart either

Alisson (64)
trent (0) Konate (35) VVD (75) Roberston (8)
Ox (40) Fabinho 45) keita (50)
Jost (45) Nunez (64 if you like) Diaz (45)

this is actually more than arsneal have spend at 471mil. Its farily clear our spending on forwards has pushed the old gaurd out and the failure on midfielders is costing us :)

At least LFC have a few titles. The amount of monet spend by Utd and cheslea chasing city and getting nowehre is absolutely massive isn't it?

Arsenal have managed it briefly though bright young players and half the spend.

Gravenbach is enthusiastic on move to lfc. Don’t know much about him other than was very talked about before his move to Bayern. Hasn’t really worked out there but still young.

Was apparently on our list last year.

Funny that Bayern want to recoup and some profit on 20m fee they paid… despite only having played 73 mins of football for them <doh>

He's decent on FIFA <whistle>

temperate wise.

Their summers are prob about high 30s compared to our 20s. Their winter temp is prob about same temp as our summer

Occasionally, but not always. We have cold days here too in the winter (it can freeze here in the spring/autumn occasionally too).

Yes summers are bloody hot, winters typically mild (but occasionally cold... There were days this winter when UK was warmer than where I was).

Typically where I am now the Spring/Autumn are similar temperature to my summer in Cheshire (with occasional really hot or cold weather more extreme than Cheshire would get). Winter here is typically about same temperature as Spring for me was.

Basically, instead of Winter being the unpleasant season, Summer is instead.

revenue will be significantly down next season, our cost structure is the same (unless we don’t replace properly). Ergo profits will be down significantly. Valuations are usually made up of a multiple of ebitda; in any other business, valuation will be down significantly or they cut costs to suit to maintain profit - if we cut costs, it’s a spiral. Make no mistake, the club is worth less on one poor season.

About £30 to £40 million. Probably some "hidden" lost revenue too. Since our shirt sponsorship involves us getting a percent of shirts sold, we're probably impacted more from being out of Europe than most. Could be a few million less from Asians buying shirts after watching European games.

Young viewers around the world who haven't yet settled on a club are less likely to latch on to us playing only domestically .. so fewer new fans gained next year.

he was but he made his choice. I don't like to see this kind of club hopping really. Of course personality clashes with the likes of nagelsmann can occur for a young player who will keep the head down and work but in this case he seems quite eager to jump ship.

Since when is a team's standing in the world of football dependent on one season? You don't wipe out your worth or even diminish it by a tiny bit based on one poor season.

Behave

wile out? Of course not!!

Diminish? Of course you’ll be worth less if you’re not earning as much and of course your brand equity will be diminished (but not wiped out!)

By wipe out your worth I meant in terms of not being worth investing in. Your original point was about us not being as attractive as an option to buy out or into wasn't it? I'm just saying that one poor season doesn't make us less attractive for investors. Look at utd and the fighting amongst potential investors there atm.
