No, you are right there are not 9 worse but there are 9 fellow bottom half teams so that's 9 home and 9 away games they need to target.

Leeds won 9 last season and drew 11 to fall over that line, interesting they only won 4 at home. Everton can do better.
well yes as they did last season but all they need is to get quite a few draws and win the occasional game though this weekends results didn't do them many favours .

Hmmm....

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

You are absolutely right that Norwich were tragically poor twice with pukka and a few others to score goals but they let in a **** ton.

But... how many sides have we seen thst have focused on hard to beat that crawl to the bitter end like any warnock or pulis or allardyce side?

You have to get goals. Southampton get a few and just about stay up. They are awful at the back.

If everton don't get goals imo they will be in that relegation dog fight.

I'm hearing coady is on a loan with option to buy which is wolves all over. Stupidity.

Unless it’s purely to get closer to his family the move makes zero sense to coady. Maybe more money? But playing for wolves who were closer to best of the rest challenge for Europe. Or going and playing in an awful Everton team. I don’t think he’s done his chances of a call up to World Cup any good. If he’s shipping 2 goals a game for next 12 weeks then doesn’t look great

I also think any little run of form is massive down there. Prior to relegation Bournemouth has a habit of getting 4 or 5 wins on the bounce, they were not defensive side either so again goals win games.

Then again Newcastle under rafa were similar in streaks but were defensive by nature, but again had 1 or 2 to score goals.

Everton current don't and for me that'll be fatal.

i think they are in real danger but might just stay up but if they don't they might not survive as a club in their present form .

Not wanting to sound like Michael Owen by stating the obvious, but...

The only way they stay up is if there are three worse teams.

I genuinely don't believe they have what it requires to fight for survival, they need to be given it.

Everton signing Coady may suggest they're switching to a back three; he's never been great in a two imo

It must be money or the manager has said he is not in his plans this season?

Anyway you cut it the outcome is fairly predictable. Everton fans will blame him for everything, especially if he does break nunez's leg

They have been doing that in pre season and lined up against Chelsea with a back 3 in Godfrey Mina & Tarkowski

The problem for them now is what do they do even with coady.

pickshite
Patterson Coleman Coady Tarkowski mykolenko
Mcneil Dacoure Iwobi gray
Gordon (falls over)

4 wingers, 1 cm, and 5 defenders. IF we drop in players to replace the two injuries.

Players like allan and alli on the bench says it all about lampard.

If you made this a genuine 343 and maybe converted one of these wingers into a wing back it might start making sense

pickshite
Coleman Coady Tarkowski
Patterson Dacoure Onana gray
Mcneil (MASSIVE ISSUE) Gordon
IMO thats weak. they have the lad on loan from sporting and the ukrainain lad to play LWB i suppose but they need to figure this striker thing out ASAP. This is a championship level side fron no 1 to no 11. No forward = hard times ahead imo.

imo Coleman behind Patterson these days and the 3rs CB will be Holgate or Keane . Yes CF is a huge issue if they can't patch up DCL as neither Alli or Gordon cannot do that job but who can they afford .

a loanee out of chelsea? As in the one guy that cheslea won't let go but have no games for as they are still in full on oligarch culture mode.

Broja.

there's any amount of Barcelona forwards they could beg for on loan.

Can't see Broja being loaned out until Chelsea have bought at least one CF themselves.

They are odd that way given they've actually got loads that they've ruined.

they'll park that lad on his arse and end up selling him for a pittance. they've managed to convince him to sign the contract to maintain the value and they'll now ignore him and he'll end up on loan. its the usual tactic.

maybe but my point was they won't loan him until they have a new CF .

After six years with Lazio, former Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto is set to leave the Italian giants, and the Reds will reap a reward from his move.
Alberto is reportedly being tracked by Sevilla who are seeking to strengthen their squad in the coming weeks of the window.
