Phillips won’t be going to Fulham then. They’ve signed Shane Duffy on loan who id say is the exact type of player Phillips is.

Just Bournemouth left to actually make a bid for him now then.

maybe after they’ve shipped a load of goals they may pony up the cash to get him
Konaté is injured so makes sense to keep Phillips for now.

Coady to Everton for £12m. That is a very odd transfer. One, being Liverpool fan surprise would want to go play for them. And 2, Everton are **** atm.

I presume they are buying a scape goat toncover the impending disaster as another defender is not what they need.

No striker, no goals.

No goals, no points.

No points and the giant drop is coming

well the most important thing for a relegation threatened team is be difficult to beat and with no CBs apart from Keane & Holgate it makes sense in the short term but what the PL board are going to make of Evertons spending spree will be interesting .

Not only that but must be offering this Cm some big wages if he’s going there over West Ham as well

Hmmm....

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

You are absolutely right that Norwich were tragically poor twice with pukka and a few others to score goals but they let in a **** ton.

But... how many sides have we seen thst have focused on hard to beat that crawl to the bitter end like any warnock or pulis or allardyce side?

You have to get goals. Southampton get a few and just about stay up. They are awful at the back.

If everton don't get goals imo they will be in that relegation dog fight.

I'm hearing coady is on a loan with option to buy which is wolves all over. Stupidity.

How many points do you reckon will be required to stay up ?

I think the most important thing for relegation sides is having a goalscorer. Goals win games, defenders win titles.

The answer to that imo is down to to top 6 and competition there.

The mark has fallen to approx 35 now, if the top 6 are fighting to the end and theres a genuine title race then the available points drops for everyone else.

Two side on 90+ and another in the 80s with 2 or 3 more on around 70 would mean like last season 35 would be the mark.

Imo to get that Everton need to get goodison rocking and influencing refs. They will get 9 games against **** teams at home. It's going yo be that simple. 9x3 = 27 so they only need 3 way wins or whatever group of draws to get there.

But you've got to win at home, both defend well but must score

You seem to be overlooking the fact that Everton are one of the **** teams in fact there is no way there are 9 worse teams than them .

No, you are right there are not 9 worse but there are 9 fellow bottom half teams so that's 9 home and 9 away games they need to target.

Leeds won 9 last season and drew 11 to fall over that line, interesting they only won 4 at home. Everton can do better.
