Milner has been a good servant but we need to move on now. No doubt he is a great professional who drives high standards in training but he is a very big earner and those wages need to be better allocated …

Hendo should now become the new Milner - the work horse, squad player who has limited minutes :)

Agreed. Keep him around the squad but limit his playing time.

Since Oxlade - Chamberlain has barely featured at all in 2022 i really hope we are trying to move him on .

Needs to for the good of his career. He’s 28. If he sits on our bench for another 2 years not gonna get a contract when he’s 30. At least not anything decent.

go now to a mid table prem club and get a decent contract for next 5 years.

The only thing Ox has going for him at the moment is that he is home grown I presume we will be looking at some home grown talent in the near future to replace Ox, Milner and Henderson.

Carvahlo
Jones
Elliott

Jones is over 21 soon. I think its jan next year.
Elliottt and carvalho are u21s so don't really count par se? are we allow put u21s in as HG seniors? remember also they must have 2 years at the club before they qualify for the status in europe also.

Kelleher club trained (need 4 of these)
jones Club trained
Trent Club trained
gomez club trained (which bt is why every rumour you read about villa etc is complete arse).

then 4 more HG min
Henderson
Milner
Ox
Phillips (oh er missus)

So we are actually short of home grown a list players right now.

I think this rule will only get more important as time passes and why man city crazily hoofed 100mil at a 20mil player like grealish.

Please also note that rhys williams sole value to LFC right now is as HG. In many ways neco williams actions (driven in no small part by wales national team manager) have not only robbed the lad of medals in the future but also removed a club trained option for us in europe.

the argument of "are they good enough" for me is moot.

we get 17 foreign players. 4 club trained and 4 HG players. If that mix gets moved to more HG in the future the pressure will be on to find ever more expensive HG players.

BTW it was neco williams birthday yesterday. can you imagine playing for fulham when you could be part of a quadruple. the wales manager has a lot to answer for.
