I don';t think anyone could have predicted that Jota was so good in the box. But thankfully our recruitment team did and I'm sure they can see something special in Diaz.

but with Jota you knew he could cut it in the PL .
 
y'all know that porto aint as good as they once were?

why get hung up on numbers?

Fernando Torres "numbers" were not great and i recall stupid manc wums saying he'd be rubbish on old 606.

Imo use your own eyes, look back the the games with porto. this lad was thier best player on show.

wolves fans really liked him.

again, he was 23 when we signed him and wolves got him in the championship and he scored a good amount there before coming up to the prem and being emplyed more wide than through the middle. Wolves were hardly even the biggest scoring side.

we've given these forwards a platform to go get lots of chances and run in and score and they love it.
 
The deal, if completed, is expected to be worth €45m (£37m) plus a maximum of €15m in potential bonuses.

we should think of this as money you'd pay 5 years ago. This is really cheap for a player with a record of 25 European games and 8 goals and domestic record of 77 games and 26 goals.

A young player who's 2.5 season into European career. Its a long way fomr the fees quoted for sancho, haaland and the rest. 37mil risk... in this day and age? not too bad.

Yep, agree with that. I remember some **** on here having a hissy fit when we bought Jota, saying we could have got Traore for that money. That **** was me. :rolleyes:

It's our usual price range. Expensive, but not the big Name, top of the market range. See also Salah, Mane, Jota, Firmino, Fabinho, Ox etc.

Only issue is he’s another South American so ends up flying off during international breaks for games at stupid times.

Maybe with another one can get a better deal on some private jets to get him and the Brazilians backs the future

One of them going, I'd suggest. Wonder if Newcastle will pay funny money for Mane over the weekend? Rather keep him until the summer, but Origi and probably Bobby/and or/ Mane need to go in the summer. Perhaps.

yeah, whenever a player hits the really tier 1 hot property lists like bellingham has and sancho did or haaland or mbappe or whoever we are never ever going to pay out.

this lad in 2 years could be worth 3 times the fee we pay now. thats FSG.
