Mo has options, if he knocks in 45 goals this season which is certainly on and has 1 year left there will be people offering 400k a week.

We dont have the same scope imo to just lose him on a price we can get out of Newcastle

The onus is on us to put a deal in front of him, he cant sign anything until he has one.

Then I'll be saying the onus is on him to sign or reject and not string us along as if he rejects I will be saying sell asap.

I would have an offer in now and if he rejects then january is open no matter how bad that affects us.

It's an offer to salah commercially. He has no obligation to take it. Whereas the pressure is on lfc to make an offer.

It would be all but impossible to explain to the fan base why you didnt make an offer before just selling his contract on.

Well, I tell you from my experience of wage negotiations ( a long time ago admittedly) - a negotiation requires that both sides are prepared to move from their initial position to reach a compromise.
Otherwise it's no more than a demand that is either accepted or isn't.

If we cannot agree with Salah (what he wants and what we are willing to pay), there is a possibility of losing him. However, we cannot because other clubs are willing to pay much more better join them by paying him silly wages. If he is a committed he should should be reasonable with us too. Going to another clubs he may not be the the STAR he is with us in another club.

I think they can afford to throw 350k at the guy without breaking the bank.

even if we look at city or PSG theres few stars on big big money and then a group on the rest of the money around about where we are actually paying at 200k or less.

we actually have more players supposedly in the 150-200k mark than others.

According to this, MO Salah is currently on £200.00 a week 50% increase is going to make it £300.00 a week. Doctors and nurses and all others don't get 50% increase in their wages/salaries. I am not sure how far Liverpool are willing to go.The ball is in Salah's court.

NHS pays £33,000 a year on average to nurses. we are debating 350k a week here. but a nurse from india for example would be on about 3k a year in direct comparison.

sorry but its irrelevant what a nurse gets salah can demand massive wages form several clubs round europe so holds the cards here. I fail to see how the ball is in anyone's court but LFC as LFC have not put anyhting in fornt of salah to accept or reject!

Pace certainly isn't the only thing to his game, but it's a significant asset. He's being touted as the best player in the world - I think there'll be others who'd have a say in that, but there's no doubt he's bloody brilliant right now - but for how long?
Again, I'm not trying to do him down, I'm just asking the questions that the club will be asking when assessing his value.
It's probably an unpopular line of enquiry whilst everyone is riding the tide of euphoria over his current form, but I'm playing Devil's Advocate here. The long-term health of the club is every bit as important as the now.

At 29 headed for 30 then 5 years could be a millstone round our necks in 3 years or 4 years time. It is a concern as his name requires pace. he runs in behind. if defenders can catch him he is toast.

This has been an impediment to agreement in the past. Was it Can who wanted longer than we were prepared to give him?
Anyway, like Coutinho, Suarez, Sterling etc he was someone we've somehow managed to live without.
