Soton fans are great

On VvD: 'He's not going anywhere, we're not selling, you can't make us sell, we don't need to sell etc etc'
On Couts: 'You should sell he's not that good anyway, with that money you could buy players etc etc'

I think new owner are likely to let VVD leave anything that is going to give them bad publicity they are not going to like it.

They're going to say they want a fresh start with only those with [HASHTAG]#ambition[/HASHTAG] to take Southampton forward

Then after a year they'll still be selling to buy and begging Southampton council to help them get a loan

So exactly the same as all Liverpool fans were doing with us you mean? Except not listening to the first bit.

People I've seen aren't saying that about Coutinho, unless they're taking the piss out of the earlier VVD Liverpool fan stuff.

We've already accepted that Coutinho will probably leave, we just want as much of that £200m (now £160m) Barca have got in their pocket.

Perhaps you should be thinking the same about VvD

Of course he'll leave eventually. We all know that. And we want as much money as we can get. Just we're unlikely to be selling him to you (and nobody has bid).

Anyone else hoping that every Sky Sports notification that get says "Coutinho competes move to Barca" or is it just me?

And if Chelsea bid in the next 2 weeks?

We'll have to wait and see. But as I said, there seems to be a complete determination to keep him for the time being at the club, and it would be an odd initial move by the new majority owner to suddenly reverse that decision.

No idea if it's the right move or not, but we're digging our heels in with this one.
