Watch Coutinho's image being taken down from the Liverpool superstore as Barcelona move gets closer

Liverpool looks to be preparing for life without Philippe Coutinho both on and off the pitch. As boss Jurgen Klopp cut a frustrated figure in the tunnel at Vicarage Road after Saturday’s 3-3 draw against Watford, back at Anfield, the Liverpool superstore was busy taking down images of the Brazilian from its shop window.

After the 25-year-old submitted a transfer request on Friday just an hour after the club issued a statement claiming that he would not be leaving this summer, his departure from Merseyside now looks inevitable with the Catalan side ready to submit an offer in excess of £100M.

FFS this is the worst type of BS

They willfully ignore and edit out that all were taken down as part of the refresh

And that Coutinho is back up in the new home kit

Fine.

But if we are selling, do this ****e AFTER!! He has gone

All this does is tell barca we are selling and they will take the piss over price.

Fecking amateurs ffs!!!!

They are not amateurs, you are naive

Ridiculous.

At the very least you send a guy to do it at 3 am not in middle of the day.

I agree though you don't take it down period.

Klopp said yesterday it was all but done that owners were selling as well.

I detect a massive lack of control, common sense and communication.

All this talk from 'experts' about selling Coutinho and then using the money to buy a DCM and a CB when we supposedly had the damn money to buy in those two positions regardless...

I'll never demand or hope for FSG to sell and move on as we could well be in the championship, knee deep in debt if it wasn't for them, but they're not filling me with confidence.

Nonsense. The debt was H&Gs', which is why the club were effectively re-possessed from them. RBS sold a club that had been valued at £600m only six months before by Forbes for £200m (+£50m stadium debt) because they were supposedly in a position to give a solid commitment to build a new stadium 'imminently'. That they're better than H&G is undeniable, but seven years on it is ridiculous to still be forlock-tugging when the latest valuation of the club put it at £1.2bn. That's right, the value of the asset they bought has increased six fold in seven years.

Well tell the twats to stop then lol.

It's £120 mill now, next week it will be £130 mill and so on.

Either pay up or move on.

As Smokey would say, I second that emotion: unfortunately, with FSG at the helm, it's more of a case of The Doobies' What A Fool Believes. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

According to Simon Mullock of the Sunday Mirror, Liverpool have informed midfielder Emre Can he will not be sold this summer despite interest from Juventus.

As Mullock reported, the Bianconeri are trailing Can, who has under a year left to run on his contract at Anfield. Juve are reportedly ready to offer the Reds £23 million for his services.

"But the Reds would prefer to lose Can for nothing next summer rather than cash in now on a player who is a key performer for Jurgen Klopp," Mullock noted. "He has made it clear that selling top players two weeks before the transfer window closes will leave his plans in tatters."

Why am I naive?

All they have done is make the club more atractable to sell. What have they done on the pitch?

For believing the clickbait article that ignores the entire store front being updated (and Coutinho replaced in the new home kit) is actually "Coutinho image taken down"

**** me rigid, according to the Mail (getting this straight from Barca's garlic-smelling, paella-stuffed ****ing mouth) we're to be offered GOMES in exchance as part of the deal. In fact, the Mail report it that we'll have the 'opportunity' to land the ****ing big flop. I tell you, FSG will fall for this crap.

PS: Just when did we have an interest in Gomes? GOMES!
