If he wants to go let him go....next season. If we have time to sort alternatives I'm happy. Phil, mummy and daddy might be concerned about His Barca dream, but 100million + Liverpool fans are more concerned about the upcoming season. Sit tight and you can go for 140 million next june. You ungrateful wonderful little genius

You would if this was United or Chelsea.

Transfer window is boring until you start reading how rose is ripping into spurs or your current meltdown.

Hell even Conte at chelseas been showing lots of negativity.
 
Well he's a ****er just like the others.

The only good thing is we are getting very good money for him.

I wouldn't begrudge if Klopp wanted to leave now.

This seriously harms our efforts this year though and will probably have long term damage on our image.

A selling club. A stepping stone to successful clubs.

I don't blame FSG really but they need to go out now and prove they and the club mean business.

Surprised Barca are willing to pay that much for him though.

Hmmm...i think it might stop it happening to us again... sets the club precedent..you sign a 5 year contract, the only way you get out if it us if we want you to.

For all FSG's faults and weaknesses I know this part of the game eats away at them. Henry has mentioned a few times he can't believe we let players away with this **** regarding contracts.

After today's two statements they just can't back down now.

Honestly, not really. I've said often that I find Mourinho a crashing bore and I've read hardly anything about Conte.
I'm only vaguely aware of who's bought whom - I'm gonna check out the list before the games start. :)
I like watching football - the rest of the shenanigans leave me cold.

All that will do is ensure that no player will ever sign a 5 year contract with you again, mate.

And if you keep them to their five year deals, and dont let them move on to Barca for a Hundred million, the Agent loses an even fatter bonus

Agents are allowed to know the game because no one told them to **** away off. Start making agents a liability to the players income and career, it'll change quick enough.

And even if they don't so what? At the moment 5 year deals are apparently meaningless for a club anyway?

It's a matter of will. You don't like agents and player power it isn't going to stop jyst by whining about it.

So...unless Barca offer something so big itd be silly not to take it or Klopp somehow has a replacement found and available. We lose nothing by standing firm.

Move on lads, i have thought coutinho was gone so all of this has been all very interesting but par for course. its all about the fee.
 
Am i the only one who thinks a large part of our problems are down to JK's 1 & only 1 target per required position to upgrade never mind meeting VVD <doh>. This stance has left us lacking in squad depth and expending large time & effort on transfers which always looked highly unlikely.

Oh presumably we will need to consider seriously offers for Can considering his contract stand off just to add to our woes.:emoticon-0101-sadsm
