We could argue it but i can't believe you are comparing transfer rumour talk/media announcement/possible agents meeting to actually have your manager meet up directly with the player and chatting to him face to face

I see what you did there....lol. Anyway, I think he fancied working with Klopp, I doubt you've offered more wages than the likes of Chelsea and City, or even us.

I don't think we're any better or any worse than other fans. The Barce 'machine' though is definitely out doing LFC in this transfer malarkey.

Who are you paying 180k a week to?

its not rooney i think even.

Its imposible to say what VVD would have got REALLY isn't it? there were stories at the time all 3 clubs were paying the same and he had a choice.

Not when Lukhesky goes for £90m, and Carlton Pogba ay £100m. On those scales, PSG got Neymar at half price for £200m.

good i'm just glad i was able to put across my very many points :). How about whos going to be your starting LB. Robertson, Milner or Moreno and how would you feel if Lovren is still your starting LCB

Strikers usually carry a premium though, Pogba was £90m and massively over priced. Sigurdsson is over priced at £45-50m is Coutinho worth more than double that?

Not for me he isn't. I think you'd be mugging Barca right off at £100m

Not when they have £200m in their pocket. They must have spent £20m of that on bent journos though, rather than putting it on top of £100m and getting close to our asking price, but again, you're missing the point. How are we 'mugging them off' at whatever when we don't want to sell AND DON'T NEED TO SELL?

I think you are right. The clubs are very similar in trying to achieve their goals. Clearly VvD was/is still a key target for us and we went hard for him. But Barca need that star acquisition to soften the blow of Neymar's departure. They are trying to make us accept a fee that would be acceptable for them as the whole world knows that they have £200m in their pockets.

We just don't have to make it easy for them. If we are going to let him go, then we must get them to pay...handsomely (£130m+) and get them to share some of that windfall.

At £100m you should want to sell. He's a talented player who turns up 1 game in 3.
