No player will sign a new contract for Southampton without a release clause, which could easily cost them £100m in lost profits over the next few seasons
15th doesn't seem unreasonable, at this stage. Giving in to players demands as soon as they spit the dummy out, well that seems unreasonable to me.
Could be said about any of the Soton players with any ambition. Lets be honest players move to Soton cause they are a good stepping stone club, under the impression that if they do well a bigger club will come along and buy them.
Without a Oildaddy coming in and buying the club, Soton have reached the top of their level, top 10 with an occasional cup final.
