Neymar texting Coutinho could mean bad news for Liverpool
11:30: Neymar is trying to convince Philippe Coutinho to snub Barcelona in favour of Paris St-Germain, reports claim.

Neymar is seemingly on the verge of joining Paris St-Germain, while Barcelona have identified Liverpool playmaker Coutinho to replace him.

However, Spanish newspaper Sport claim Neymar has been texting Coutinho on WhatsApp - asking him to snub Barca and wait for PSG to make an approach.

It's said Neymar has urged the PSG board to make further signings to strengthen the squad, and Coutinho was one of the names on their shortlist.

Because no one wants Coutinho to leave, and as Coutinho's manager it will be daft of him to say he is for sale.
True. But it would be even dafter to say strongly that he is not for sale then sell him 5 minutes later.
It's the sort of thing you say when rumours are first put about, but at this stage a strong message is needed, and the resolve to back it up.
Sometimes no means no, sometimes it means try a little harder - but this has really been going on long enough.
Same with VvD and Keita to us. Time to **** or get off the pot for all concerned.

Replying to a question regarding the Brazilian’s future, the manager said: “If you say he is not available to be sold, where is the interpretation? The word ‘not’ means there is no interpretation. There is nothing new.”

Taiwo Awoniyi moves to Royal Excel Mouscron on loan
Chris Shaw @shawct
Taiwo Awoniyi will spend the duration of the 2017-18 season on loan at Royal Excel Mouscron.

The striker, who signed for Liverpool in August 2015, joins up with the Belgian side following the beginning of their league campaign on Sunday.

Awoniyi spent last term with NEC Nijmegen, for whom he scored three goals, having previously embarked on a loan stay at FSV Frankfurt in Germany.

I'm guessing you were a lazy batard and didn't read the whole post, or missed the sarcasm in it? <whistle>

The Spanish President was saying how PSG will break FFP if they pay the release clause. If that's the case, why would any player agree to a release clause that high in future because if what he's saying is right (and obviously it isn't I'm just taking the piss) then they are pointless because no one is ever going to meet them,

Obviously I didn't read back <doh>

He's obviously a prick then [HASHTAG]#simples[/HASHTAG]

Loan to buy?

That was Chelsea rumour a few days ago. Bayern want to sell and will only loan if their is sale at the end of it.

Loan to buy is alright but not great. Player (and sometimes the selling club too) can still change their minding before signing permanently

Depends on how its done. The Coman loan to Bayern was that Bayern had to buy at the end of the loan and Juve had to sell. Turns out that was a good deal in the end as Coman is quality, but I imagine Juve might have wanted to keep him by the end of the 2 years.

Milan make €60m Aubameyang offer

Milan have made a €60m offer for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.

According to Calcio Mercato, Milan have offered €60m to Dortmund, but the Bundesliga side are demanding at least €80m for a deal to go through.

The report also claims that Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in the centre forward.

It was reported earlier this month that Premier League side Chelsea were closing in on a deal to sign Aubameyang for £65m, which was later quashed

Am I missing something with this!? One of the very best strikers in world football, openly up for grabs, no stupid games just pay what he's worth (and the price is more than reasonable) but no body has snapped him up!?!?

Don't see the point in having the loan part when it's compulsory buy like that.
