They won't sell him. That wasn't my question. It was purely hypothetical. I was trying to establish if we would be a greater pull than intermilan
Liverpool hoping to delay Coutinho move Liverpool are hoping to delay Philippe Coutinho’s possible move to Barcelona so the Brazilian can help Jurgen Klopp’s side qualify for the Champions League group stage
That's the ****ing worst of all worlds, unless we have some super-duper replacements lined up - and knowing FSG, we ****ing well won't. There'll be a mad scramble on the last day of the window, we'll put in an 11th hour £60m bid for Barkley that'll thankfully be rejected as 'His heart is set on Spurs', then FSG will bank the money (and Sakho too) and say 'We tried, but Jurgen's happy with what he's got'. IF we get past the qualifier, we'll be crucified in the CL group stages as we're unseeded and we'll have no creative edge, we'll not even make the Europy in January, and we'll hover between 8th and 10th place in the league until we do a late push in March that sees us attain the dizzy heights of seventh in May. Oh, and we'll probably get Caulker in on loan in January. #madamedongaseesall
Rafinha to Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp asks Reds chief to sign Barcelona star, £36m bid ready LIVERPOOL are ready to offer up to £36million for Barcelona star Rafinha http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...l-Jurgen-Klopp-Barcelona-Transfer-News-Gossip
Come on, mate - you're biting at every scrap of journalistic invention dangled at us. They have to write something - that's why every day there's a new angle. Just wait and see.
And talking of which: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...na-close-Liverpool-ace-Philippe-Coutinho.html The Mail is now quoting the Catalans as saying Coutinho is still a done deal (again - they 'feared' Liverpool were asking too much at the weekend), and that they'll use the Neymar money to buy Mbappe, Coutinho AND someone else, and Valdeverde wants it all concluded by next Monday! Now, divvy up £196m between 3 and tell me what you think they're going to offer for Ford AFTER they've bought Mbappe? None of this, of course, will happen (or if Ford goes let's hope FSG are not friggin' stupid enough to accept less than £100m) , but where the **** do they got this oft quoted 'confidence' from? Has Messi done a deal with them to take a pay cut so that they can actually pay the players on their books, even when Neymar goes?
Still don't think Coutinho will go. Concerned that we won't get a CB in. If we do then we're sorted for the season. We can live without a midfielder but we need a CB.
Boris Johnson has "confidence" that the Brexit negotiations are going really well & the EU will happily agree to everything we put forward therefore a great future awaits us. just saying.
I thought we needed a striker too, but if we keep Studge I'm happy the way Solanke is shaping up too (and maybe Origi will find the form of Spring '16). But a CB is utterly essential, especially if Sakho goes or is still exiled.
Can't afford to lose Coutinho no matter what the fee is - there's no one else at the club who offers what he does, even if he's not scoring or assisting. Mane and Salah will be making runs all day but Can, Gini, Hendo or even the messiah that is Keita (should he ever come) can't pick out the same passes or keep possession as well. Not actually convinced we'll sign anyone else this summer. If transfer list A doesn't work, and it hasn't, we don't have a B list. It's all well and good saying Klopp wants his target or he'll wait, but hell I want Messi but no point waiting...
