We've never signed a player on a free and it's turned out well. Milner is the closest we've come.
wasnt gary mac a free? (just seen someone else already shouted macca)

Regarding matip? any lean pics yet? not official til i see a lean

WELCOME ON BOARD JOEL MATIP.

anyone reckon he'll be first choice cb?
i hope so, not being 1st choice would suggest lovren or skrtle are better, if thats the case why we getting him, free or not <laugh>

Matip will be a good signing once he gets up to speed with the prem. He is young and quick so should be ok.

The fact he is on a free is not relevant. Madrid signed Macmanaman on a free from us, did that make him a crap player. Some players prefer to run down their contracts as they make more by way of a signing on fee, if clubs are stupid enough to let them do it, or so desperate to keep them as long as possible, then that is up to them.

Good signing. Also proves the short term reason for signing Caulker, who will now bugger off back to London in the summer.
Being on a free is just a bonus to me, more money to spend elsewhere

Rumours of Harvard Nordtveit on a free too.

Klopp must have FSG jacking off furiously with excitement lol.

A number of our current midfielders must be starting to sweat lol.

We saving all our kitty for a special signing?

Keeps uffing around for me too, last 2 days, probably a good thing <laugh>

Matip on a free on less money than an old Toure is good business in anyone's book.

Good job Klopp. That's 2 players in on average wages for a total of a 5.1mil transfer fee. [HASHTAG]#thekloppeffect[/HASHTAG]
