or one more player sold than signed <ok>

either way, we kept two of the best players in the league - we will lose Trent probably but it’s what he wants, not what we want.

now we need to sign a few players too.

a proper 9 or at least a central forward.
A #6 (we need to rotate)
A LB Robbo’s legs have gone
A RB Trent will go
A CB we need depth here and a LT replacement for VvD

we will/might move on

Nunez (I love the effort but the end result isn’t there)
Endo
Kelleher
Not sure on others but Gomez, Elliott, Robbo/tsimi could be lined up for sale

5 in, 5 out.
i would rather keep Endo than Gomez tbh as his injury record is shocking unfortunately as he is a really useful squad player when available .

Endo is a warm body though. As much as he has a role he’s taking up space and isn’t a player slot will rotate in midfield as he doesn’t have the ability on the ball that he wants.

Quite a few on here should be eating humble pie methinks. Anyone prepared to put their hand up and say they were wrong and, actually, the club or staff haven’t completely ****ed things up!?

I suppose now, if we don’t sign isak, we’ll be run by muppets. Again.
Some people are never wrong - even when they're not right. :)

Who wants isak?

Oh and those contracts should have been sorted 6 months ago and a big risk was taken

Sounds right.

massive assumptions. Thats the only fact I’m afraid. You don’t have a scooby about the details, so are completely unqualified to make that assessment. As am I.

Nope. It's a massive risk to not sort these things out.

We are very happy to sit here in first talking about contracts that got signed.

In another year we could be sat here eating we had a few injuries and be fighting for 4th and hearing players are going as a different view of the future prospects emerged.

Thats the risk. Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it? All looks nice and straightforward and always going to happen

Risk is an uncertain future event. Of course there wa massive risk letting these contracts run down

I can tell you, categorically, that i would rather have the club manage risk, than you. In this instance, risk is a two way street. Understandably, as a fan, you don’t care about this but as a business, you have to look at everything. Given the end result, I think that the clubs tactics worked very, very well. I don’t expect you to agree because for as long as I’ve been on here, you’ve been anti Edwards, despite the very obvious success that he was instrumental in bringing us.

Hindsight.

Plus Edwards has nothing to do with day to day.

He is not employed by lfc. He works for fsg in a global role and might even eventually buy a new club.

This is about Hughes being in the job since last March and taking the risk of losing both, just cos it worked out in thr end doesn't mean it wasn't a risk.

Youd have sold them all last summer if you were in charge.

Because not one of those players was signing a new contract before a manager was appointed.

As I said at the time. I'd have sorted it then one-way or the other.

If they were willing to sign then, they would have i suppose.

If you say they would not then again there had to be a risk they would not have at all based on how things worked out.

So I interpret what you have said there was there was a risk.
